Final night in Philly and our turn to shout our family dinner. The recommendation was @ludwigsgrilleoysterbar which for 7 years in a row, has been winner of best seafood restaurant. You can feel the history as you enter with decor of timber and leather furniture. Classy. Very classy. It’s a Monday night and the Lobster and Shrimp Special was back on the menu. 1 1/4lb. Whole Maine lobster plus& 1/2 lb of chilled u-peel shrimp. Served with cocktail sauce and coleslaw and drawn butter all for $39.95. The seven of us however went for something different. Shrimp cocktail. Buffalo wings. Beef sliders. BLT flatbread. Centre cut fillet Mignon. Shrimp and crab salad. Steak Burger. Classic wedge salad. Each meal was of a generous size and nice blend of flavours. In particular, the steak was perfectly cooked. The diner had asked for rare, medium to rare. And wow, the chef got it exactly right. You could cut it with the back of a knife. Tender. Moist. Rich flavours. The sliders were a little disappointing. Wasn’t a fan of the toasted bun and would’ve preferred fresh. We couldn’t eat them all so we were able to take them home with us. The buffalo wings were nice and not too much fat. Shrimp Cocktail although fresh and nice blend of flavours, there were only 4, perhaps 1 or 2 less than it should be. All other meals we agreed were of a high quality and presented with care. Staff were excellent and service outstanding. Notes: kid friendly. Disabled friendly. Wheelchair access. Dine in or outside on the deck area. Bar area including tv’s for sport. Booths good sizes. Venue is ideal for group bookings. #usa2024 #ludwigsvillage #ludwigsoysterbar #ludwigoyster #ludwigsoystergrill #ludwigsgrilleandoysterbar #ludwigsgrille

We've lived in the area for almost 4 years, but just now started to come here and love it. The atmosphere of an old stone building, low ceilings in the main house, and ultimately the food bring us back for a quick bite or a special celebration. It's not cheap, but it's goooood. Our new, favorite, the poke tuna tacos are to die for. Crispy, fresh and juicy, served with what seems like excellent home-made potato chips, it's a big enough meal that you might sometimes take home. Especially if you start with a creamy, smooth and very tasty Lobster bisque. My meal was the pork shank and while it wasn't as much food as it looks in the picture (or on the plate), it still satisfied me with cracked pepper flavor, little bit of fatty goodness, and excellent pairing with polenta. And if you have room, definitely try the deserts. Any of them. UPDATE 7/2/23: new favorite appetizer - Salmon Crostini and a very good main course, albeit a bit fatty Norwegian Salmon. The salmon (main course) was glazed with a nice, sweet sauce and accompanied by crunchy, fresh beans.

I'm sorry... I really wanted to like Ludwig's. I've driven by here thousands of times, and my wife and I have talked about going there countless times. As the pandemic drove on, and things started to open up, they posted on Facebook and it looked amazing! So we went... I wanted to like it, I tried really hard... But it was bad! The server messed up my drink order, which was ok, it happens. She corrected it after 5min or so. I got a burger, Pittsburgh rare. Not common, but not unheard of. It was so salty I couldn't eat it. They brought me a new burger that was super charred, and not cooked properly... I'm thinking they used frozen patties? I didn't finish. My wife got a wedge salad, and they forgot part of it that she asked for. The flat bread and snapper soup were good (I didn't have the snapper, my wife did). Nothing was very good. It kills me to say that. For the price, especially with everything going on like it is, I expected just expected a higher quality. Bummed.

Easy This is an EASY REVIEW EXTRAORDINARY Atmosphere EXCELLENT Food EXEMPLARY Service Aly & Liana Party of 4, my brother-in-law, his wife, my wife, Kathy and myself, Rich. Greeted at the door with a smile and a welcome from the hostess. Thurs July 3 Happy 4th WEEKEND & WEEK EVERYONE.USA USA USA Pray for those who perished, hurt, missing from floods in Texas this past weekend including overnight Christian Camp of young girls.

Ali brought 4 waters within min seconds of sitting down Introduced herself Appetizers Calamari with a unique sauce. Thank you CHEF & Kitchen Staff We 4 shared it. Freshly cut, not frozen tentacles and all! Wonderful.

Also, a large Shrmp Cocktail. I asked Aly if we could share it so she brought 1 each shrimp on 4 plates with cocktail sauce for each couple. My goal was to have the Salmon with special sauce rice & string beans. I had it once before at a business meeting and the taste has stayed with me as a memory ever since. Thank you. The other 3 had the Double Crab Dinner. Sauce on top of each one. I asked for extra spectacular sauce after starting my meal. No problem. Loved the taste to the Moon & back. Also string beans and tasty mashed potatoes. Thank you.

Separate Dessert list Kathy and I shared a choc cake concoction with vanilla ice cream; YUMM! MY guests has Key Lime Pie to die for and freshly brewed coffee. A fantastic Meal in all. Aly checked bask on us to make sure everything was cooked the way we had ordered it. Very professional thing to do and much appreciated. She checked back a few more times ( never leaving us high & dry) Silverware clean & polished & rolled in maroon cloths.

Oyster Bar was cooking with customers while you could visibly see the Shuckers shuck different types of oysters. Check for Special oyster night prices. Low dimmed lighting for the fisherman look feeling. Decorated nicely. Bathroom very very clean. Important to me as cleanliness of bathrooms tells alot about Management care of their establishment.

We sat at the only frontside table outside to hear a very talented couple sing songs from the 70's. The gal played bongos softly (thank you for not playing loud, & the gentleman played the guitar) People were moved by the music and got up and dance although no dance floor. They took Requests and played "Take It Easy" for me. I left a Gratuity for them. Liana very, very politely, graciously and professionally allowed us to sit at this front row table. She brought my wife a special hot tea and I had Ice tea while we took in the great music of the 70's. Thank you.

Overall a GREAT EXPERIENCE and I as a former Red Lobster Manager and Server Highly Recommend. You won't be disappointed. "I'm the best waiter this side of the Mississippi." "Why" you ask! "Because I've never been to the other side of the Mississippi.!" It's OK to smile folks! Ludwig Oyster Restaurant in Ludwig 's Corner on routes 100 & 401 Pa. A must try, and become a Regular Customer Gratefully submitted. Rich & Kathy Sachs Schwenksville,...

IF YOU HAVEN'T BEEN HERE.... GO.

My wife and I have eaten here on numerous occasions; including but not limited to our rehearsal dinner last year. However, I felt the need to review this place after our meal last night, and after several years of dining here. This is a great spot for a weeknight or weekend out with family or friends. The cocktails complement a robust menu which results in a very organized presentation of food, drink, and atmosphere.

Last night, we went to enjoy a meal at Ludwig's; quite eagerly in fact, because they were closed for renovations from Jan 1 through Jan 5. We weren't sure what was going to be renovated... The minute we walked in we saw the re-finished/restored floors! What a great fresh look this place now has. The natural wood tone screams "fresh and delicious seafood" to me. Well done.

Five Star review here based on the service we received and the food we enjoyed. Everything from the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp to the Daily Special dish and the Steak Caesar Salad were fantastic. It really felt like the kitchen may have gotten some upgrades as well? Wife and I both had soups which were absolutely fantastic. For Entree, I had a Black Drum (Sheeps Head Fish), which is like a tropical sea-bass (if you will). Tasted nearly as fresh as when I used to catch them off my Grandmother's dock in Florida! A truly amazing fish that most other Executive Chefs might "shy" away from putting on their menu.

This restaurant is surely on the "up". I do feel bad for others who've had bad experiences here. I would say constructively: Ludwig's should increase its social media awareness and be sure to respond to the negative experiences put forth in reviews by customers. It's important to show how caring this staff truly is about your...
