Worst Dining Experience Ever! After experiencing apparent food poisoning from this establishment and taking a few days to recover, I had to leave this review. I don’t typically take my time to do this but my experience was extraordinarily awful that I needed to share. Upon arriving at the Final Cut Steakhouse, my husband and I were met by a young lady who greeted us. I told her that we had reservations and she then directed us to a small table. Seeing that the restaurant was not full by any means, I requested a booth. This young lady stated that all the booths were reserved and that we would need to come back in about an hour to be seated at a booth. No problem normally but we noticed that the restaurant was not busy at all and there were plenty of booths were available and no line at the door. If fact, we stopped by several times during the hour wait and noticed the restaurant somewhat empty. This experience made us feel like we were being discriminated against because we were people of color. Well, about 30 minutes before closing, we were finally seated in a booth. It took the waiter 15 minutes to even approach our table asking about drinks. After waiting another 10 minutes, the waiter brought out wine glasses only with nothing in the glasses. He stated that the bartender needed to open a new bottle and would bring the wine out to us later. He then took our order at 10pm closing time. Needless to say our food was thrown together. A $16 bowl of crab and corn soup was cold and barely covered the bottom of the bowl. The $49 Filet mignon steak appeared burnt black and was barely the size of a hockey puck. I had also ordered broccolini which did not arrive at our table until 10:30 pm. It looked like they had picked it out the garden and was never cooked. Seeing how poorly our total meal experience was, the waiter said he would have the manager come to our table. Mr. Alexander Link came to our table and said they would not charge us for the $49 steak and the $10 broccolini, however given our horrible experience we felt the entire bill should have been comped. My horrible experience only got worse later that night. Around 5am that next morning, I started having extreme stomach cramps, sweating ferociously, and starting vomiting and had extreme diarrhea. My husband kept asking me if I needed to go to the hospital. I’m telling you this was the worse experience of my life. The Final Cut Steakhouse is extremely overpriced to begin with, but to experience substandard service and food of garbage quality is a total disgrace. Please beware of ever dining at this...
Read moreI am so very delighted by countless splendid memories of dining at the Final Cut. We make the beautiful drive from Potomac to Charles Town, via the back roads, 10 or 12 times per year.... and arrive always in the mood for a feast, ... an escape with a sense of celebration.
The final cut doesn't disappoint. We almost always are served by the excellent waiter, George, whose thoughtful recommendations and timing of the course pacing, still permit for a genuine and tender moment or two, throughout the meal, to reminisce and share some good or bad news with an attentive and caring top-notch human being.
The food is really remarkable. We have made the Final Cut our go-to destination to entertain our dearest friends and top clients, who also rave about the steaks, the scrumptious grilled vegetables, (the asparagus is worth the trip, it's THAT good) and the lobster is a flavor-fest with a "Wow" factor. Dinner for two, or for twenty-two, ...nothing throws George!
Hristina, the very, very professional manager, her reception staff, and the friendly servers fill the glamorous dinning room setting with a buzz and rhythm that makes for a "Classic Hollywood Nightclub" dream come true, anchored by a kitchen that offers skilled preparations of world class discernment. From the first taste of Brioche, to the Table-pressed Coffee finale, the senses are satisfyingly seduced.
Delicious, delightful, and always an occasion to remember; The Final Cut is well, well, worth the trip. Cheers! (....and go in, Hungry!)
PS I've never posted an online review for anything before, but I just had to...
Read moreWhile it wasn't our first time visiting the casino, it was our first time dining at the Final Cut and we had a GREAT experience! We visited last weekend with friends and all of us agreed that our food was really good - we will definitely be recommending the Final Cut to friends and family, and we look forward to dining here again in the future! We made reservations in advance for a Saturday evening and the process was super easy and efficient online, and upon arriving promptly at our reservation time we were seated immediately with no wait at all.
Aside from our meals being delicious and cooked to perfection (I had the filet mignon with garlic truffle butter + loaded boursin baked potato, pictured here!) our overall dining experience was fantastic in large part to our server, Morgan. It has been a LONG time since I have had such a high level of service at a restaurant! Not only was she extremely knowledgeable about everything on the menu, she also made excellent drink recommendations, she was very attentive and accommodating to our table, and her kind and friendly personality was the icing on the cake! She is absolutely FABULOUS at what she does and she deserves a huge shout out for providing us with such outstanding service while we were out on a very rare "kidless date night" with our good friends - she made our night! Thank you again for giving us an A+++ experience all around last weekend, Morgan!👏🏽
Overall, I definitely recommend giving the Final Cut a try, and hopefully you will be seated...
