The hotel room itself was nice, but everything else was absolutely awful. First, this place charged my family members credit card four times instead of twice. When they were told about the mistake, they were rude about it and offered zero help- stating that the bank had to fix their screw up, not them. Mistakes happen and had that of been the only issue then it would've been okay but that's just the start. |The owner, an older man, was cursing and yelling at employees outside in front of at least a dozen guests over an air conditioner. I felt awful for the one housekeeper he yelled at. She was super sweet and was working really hard while most of the others were nowhere to be found or buying drugs in the parking lot (literally). We watched a worker go from up front to a car, handed a man money and he handed her drugs right in the front parking lot. I mean at least be a little discreet but whatever. |The owners son or whoever he is was absolutely HORRIBLE to my grandparents. They had an out light in their room and when he came to fix it, he said "it was just loose..." and rolled his eyes. My grandparents are on their late 70's and shouldn't have to be made to feel like they should have fixed the bulb themselves.|This same man walked past my husband and looked him up and down and made this stink face as if he was some sort of trash. I approached the front desk about all of these issues and that was the worst decision... The owners son went out of his way to be a total jerk to all of us, specifically my husband. We asked for an ashtray for outside and he acted as if he was too busy to be bothered, specifically by us 'trashy folks' I overheard him say to another employee. The guy that cleans the parking lot told my husband all about how he engaged in some pretty gross stuff with a girl that works there. The hotel room itself was nice but they need a serious overhaul with...
Read moreFirst of all I went to motel for a few days for job Traning out west Virginia in Charlestown the very next week I went back kourteny the front desk representative tried to charge me $150 deposit when they do not advertise that on their website. However, I wasn’t asked for a deposit the first week I arrived which is strange to me. when I ask why. I was given different response that didn’t make any since to me when I ask why Am I being charge a deposit. First Ms Kouteny claimed I broke a bed but in which is outrageous. however I ask for proof in which she did not provide. Not any picture or anything and simply said she watch the camera after I left the first week to see if I brought someone in my room in which is outrageous and confirm I didn’t in which she replied it don’t make since to her either but her hands is tied. I ask what is the procedure If someone break something in the room. She stated that they go on a do not rent list. I ask am I on that list she replied no but if u want to you can. Than she go on and switch her response up and say because the general manger is the owner and he made notes to charge me a deposit and to give me a small room If I came back. In which the room wasn’t even clean. I ask why and I being treat like this? is it because my color of my skins Ms Kourtney relied she have black friends. The room was dirty it had hair in the tub and sink and trash under the bed the I will never stay that again I was humiliated and Insulted this is the worst place...
Read moreCheck in at the desk was great- all downhill from there. The room was not as pictured, I would even go as far as to say that it was falsely advertised by both interior and exterior photos of the facility. We believed that we had booked a hotel room but upon checking in we were pointed across the parking lot to the "Turf Motel". Upon entering our room we were greeted by old red carpet, a ceiling height well under 8' tall, as sink just 24" from the floor and a shower head that was below shoulder height. Our mid level expectations of the room were shattered within 10 seconds of opening the door.
The free breakfast was almost as disappointing as the rest of the place. The waffle maker was missing but signage on how to use it was still posted. We passed on the remaining 3 items (eggs, sausage, unknown substance) and opted for the Mountain View Diner across the street.
We stuck it out for 2 of our 3 nights that we had booked but decided to end our stay early and return home rather than sleep one more night the Rodeway in (aka Turf Motel)
Upon early checkout, we were not asked how our stay was or why we were leaving early, the young man simply took took our room keys and when back to his computer.
Very unsatisfied with our stay with the main issue being that the facility as a whole was mis-represented. If it were represented accurately we would not have booked the...
