Stopped in this evening for a new battery - store manager/associate did not offer to do a test to see if I even needed a new battery, but was perfectly happy to sell me a $200 brand new duralast gold battery. I was one of two customers in the store (so they weren’t busy) and he also did not offer to complete install of the basic swap.
I don’t know why he would ask to walk out to my truck and have me pop the hood if he had no intention of doing the swap. I didn’t have any extra items to disconnect so it would have been easy.
When I asked for new ring terminals he handed me bolts and hardware that was clearly too large, so I politely declined as it seemed he did not want to find me the correct items for my vehicle.
With all the tools and databases at their disposal, and tons of time to spare, I wonder why this visit did not stack up to the generally great service I get at other Autozones. It seems the man that helped me was “in charge” and I would hope that folks in leadership would set the example and demonstrate great customer service.

Read moreI know very little about cars. I had my friend who knows a lot about cars check on why something was not working properly. He told me to run to Auto Zone so they could check it out and get you the part you need for a fraction of the price that it would cost to go to a mechanic. I went there and basically felt uncomfortable and an inconvenience. I had asked for help and the worker had quickly told me there was no such thing as that part and I asked him to look at my car anyway to see what he could find since it was a Hybrid, which he sighed and walked right past me. He checked my car for not even a minute and told me there was nothing he could do and I needed to go to a mechanic and then walked inside without another word as I was just an inconvenience and someone he did not want to deal with. I understand I do not know much about cars but to be treated like this when I was just asking for something simple and to do his job is unacceptable and I will most certainly not be back if this is the way customers...
Read moreI have stopped by this location 2 times recently and requested for my check engine light to be coded. Both times Jay was there to assist me... let me just say, he is awesome! Both times, he ran the engine light and brought me inside to explain what was going on. His customer service is spot on plus some extra! He made me feel like I was the only person in the store. He even took the time to explain what each code meant (because I know nothing about cars). Anyways, he's the bomb! By the way, he stood out even more because the 2 other employees (girl with shorter blonde hair and guy with crazy curly tan hair) paid no attention to me ... aka I stood at the front counter for a WHILE, neither of them said even hi to me, didn't seek to help me. I felt invisible. It wasn't until blonde girl was all mad about something and went back to get Jay, then he saw me and immediately assisted me. Once again ......
