EXCELLENT and fresh! We stopped here on our way back from PA. I googled restaurants as we were on the highway and this came up with wonderful reviews. The crab soup was creamy and full of real crab meat chunks. I don’t know how I forgot to snap a picture. Grrr! My boyfriend had the pan seared ahi tuna appetizer. The presentation was beautiful. The sauce the tuna sat in was very tasty. It was a soy sauce, wasabi mix. He said the taste of the tuna was fine, but not as tender as he likes usually. His son had the burger, medium well, with a baked potato. As he ate it his eyes widened and he described it as “a masterpiece”. The baked potato he had was topped with a dollop of sweet butter that said made it “the best potato” he has ever had. Crab cake sandwich was also on the menu at our table. Loads of fresh crab meat filled the bun. No filler in this bad boy! The steak and cheese wrap was full of flavor and not chewy, which is always a plus. It was nice to walk into a locally owned restaurant where they have the Constitution of the United States on the wall when you first come in. We went for a late lunch and we were in very casual clothes. I can see how going for an evening dinner here could allow you to dress up a bit, if that’s your thing. The waitress was attentive and very pleasant. You will not be disappointed if you stop here to fill your belly, especially if you like seafood.

I’m not in Martinsburg often, so I did a quick restaurant search and landed on this spot with some glowing reviews. My mom, who’s a very picky eater and basically only eats seafood, tagged along—so I figured, why not? I had zero expectations walking in. It’s tucked just off the main road and looks pretty average from the outside, but once inside—wow. Cozy tavern vibes and cute fall décor set the mood. We started with the calamari, which was cooked perfectly—not rubbery, not chewy, just right. A little too salty for my mom’s delicate taste buds but I was like more for me! Then came the cream of crab soup and holy crab claws—it was amazing! Creamy, rich, and tasted like a lobster bisque’s fancier cousin. We both ordered the crab cakes (they were on special), and let me tell you, I was not ready for how good they were. Virtually no filler—just pure, perfectly cooked crab goodness. The sides were just okay (fries and slaw for me, baked potato for Mom) so next time I might go for a salad. Now for the dessert drama. I didn’t see the dessert tray but randomly picked the peanut butter pie to go for my husband. When I got home, I told him to save me a bite… big mistake. HUGE. It was incredible—creamy, flavorful, and way too good to share. I might not get to Martinsburg often but you can bet I’ll be back. If you love seafood and desserts, this place is a must.

All I can say about this restaurant is WOW! 😲 In spite of the fact they were experiencing a shortage of staff, the service was beyond superb! The food was excellent! We ordered stuffed mushroom appetizers, which were delicious, and they were stuffed with crab imperial that was the best! Hubby ordered the Chesapeake Haddock (a nice piece of haddock topped with crab imperial) with green beans and a side garden salad. He ate all of his food and was very happy with each dish. I ordered a strawberry margherita that was quite tasty, the Crab Cake dinner with baked potato and a side salad. The crab cakes were something else! They were good size and beautiful. Not to mention delicious! They were the best I've had in a very long time. They were not full of fillers. They are the original crab cakes. 🦀 If you want to know what crab cakes are truly supposed to taste like, come here to Kitzies. The dessert options were presented, lemon, chocolate, or coconut cakes. It was a hard decision, but we decided on a piece of coconut cake to take with us as we could not eat another bite. And don't let me forget they also have an outdoor dining area. Thank you for a delectable meal with a comfortable atmosphere along with excellent service. 😊

RUN AWAY.. We only ate here as someone said "its the best" and gave us a large gift card. The worst atittudey waitress in YEARS, horrific food, and half the menu unavailable.... also not even 1 single VEGETABLE as a side??? We didnt complain while there as this waitress and staff wouldn't have cared. And with my 12yr old present didnt want a scene.

When we entered, no signs or greeters which made it chaotic for where to go. The lounge told us go to the main room, Main room told us to stand in a tiny 4''wide hallway between two dingy bathrooms awkwardly, then back up to the bar area finally.

We were greeted, or should i say given a lack of any platitudes or greetings by a waitress (name omitted, just to be nice) who clearly had an attitude problem and seemed frustrated we didnt order crabs?? No signs saying its crabs night and no one told me on the phone. I also cant eat seafood for a whilr due to a medical issue so THANKS for thst. Made me feel great.

Over the dinner she never came back a single time to refill drinks, ask how our food was, took 15 minutes+ to bring sour cream and she got it 5 minutes before finishing her meal, and was just borderline aburpt and generally an unfriendly of a person. Wowzers. Worst waitress we've had in a LONG time.

She began telling us literally half the menu couldn't be ordered; no pastas, some fish, no burgers, no steak/cheese. Why not tell us on the phone or have signs out front before driving an hour??

I asked for suggestions and she had none to give? Odd. We ordered water and soda. My tap water, not filtered, tasted like metal and and the sodas lacked any real flavor some how??

Crab dip was 6.5/10 decent! Baguettes served with it were a hard miss as 3 of the 20 had a slap of butter and some season on them. My caesar salad had been made that morning as the lettuce was soggy and browning. Disgusting...

The "parmesean crusted" strip steak my fiance and I ordered, wasnt crusted (odd) lol....... but a slop of white watery baby puke looking cheese funk that was overly smothered and slopped on the steak. The steaks themselves were even barely warm and were unevenly cooked med rare. Lots of gristle and fat as well as tough. Pathetic.

My sons chicken tenders... they gave him TWO. Two whole tenders the size of my finger. And all our fries were bland boring and unseasoned. Wow... how generous.

We got three desserts to go and the irish cream cheesecakes tasted like straight up liquor (This was like taking a shot). The carrot cake was 6.5/10 decent.

The bathrooms had over flowing trashcans and STUNK so bad.

We paid. She got her 15% so she didnt come out and curse us out with my son. And thank god we couldn't wait to leave since we paid our $112 bill and tip.

Ill eat at Michelin Star restaurants just the same as cracker barrel or a dive diner or wing joint!! But...

Myself and 2 other couples had a reservation together recently. I had eaten at the rock cliff location and was excited to try out the new spring mills location and was hoping the crab cake was still just as amazing. Upon entering the atmosphere was low lit and cozy and we quickly found our seats as friends were already there and waving. 10 minutes later we were approached by our waitress takes our drink orders but replies “I don’t know if we have that” when asked about a certain liquor and proceeds for us to order something different. When the pause grew slightly awkward. The reply of well can you find out from the bartender. One would think if “you don’t know” you would seek the answer. We understand you are not the one tending bar and serving drinks. the body language following, eye rolls and attitude showed us clearly we should not have asked and just simply ordered something else. Which we did after a quick walk through at the bar by our waitress. Then came time to order our food. My husband orders surf and turf (maybe called something different on the menu) and asks for a baked potato as a side. Waitress explains it may take an hour on baked potatoes. We explain that’s ok, we are a party of 6 and have no problem waiting bc they we busy and we intended to stay and socialize anyway. She had to check with the cook - insert more body language, eye rolls and attitude bc we now wanted to wait for the a baked potato. The cook okayed and we move forward. From that point on cups sat empty until the food arrived. It was all delicious minus the missing baked potato. After being there 3 hours we received our baked potato just prior to walking out the door in a to go box. (Mind you this was a side we paid for) and was told there was just a delay in making them. While the food was excellent the service was the worst I had ever had and paying the price we did should have come with excellent service. The table sitting beside us even commented to us how unprofessional she was. To the smug waitress who appeared to hate her job- jobs are a dime a dozen if you hate it… find someplace else. Kitzies lost a few customers bc of you that night! ( 2 stars given bc the food was great- minus the...

Short story: The first visit was on Mother's Day for their special. Food was average, service was terrible, and the environment was very outdated and dirty. Lomg story: My family (4 adults, 1 toddler) went for Mother's Day and made a reservation for 4 a few days prior. For some reason, we had 3 different waitresses serving us, and they were struggling. Starting off, we got drinks and placed orders without an issue. We got our appetizers after about 10 minutes and noticed we were short one utensil set, so we requested one. About 5-10 minutes went by, and we finished our appetizer. Still no utensil set, but not a big deal yet. Our drinks were all empty except 1 at this point. We waited about 20 minutes before someone finally came by and brought out the salads that came with 3 of the meals. We requested a utensil set again and now refills. We also asked why 3 people were serving us and they said because it was mother's day they had a lot of table to serve (doesn't really explain why 3 different people were coming to the table). 10 minutes went by, and a waitress came by and gave us refills. Then, just after that, a different waitress brought us refills. Then, the waitress we requested refills from brings out 3 utensil sets. By 5, we finally got 1 meal and the toddler's food. After waiting another 15 minutes, the other 3 meals came out. One didn't have the fries on it, but we were told they were finishing them up and would bring them out. After we all finished our food, the fries still didn't come out, so we requested that it be taken off the bill. They did, thankfully, and we finally got to pay and leave by 545. As for the environment, 1 picture hanging up had some sort of food stuck to it. The chairs all had some food crumbs on them, with one chair having something sticky on it. The table we sat at was wobbly, so we stuck napkins under it to keep it still. I had heard good things about this place, but for average food, I'd rather...
