One of the most disappointing food experiences in recent memory. And maybe i just expected too much...i dont know, but it doesnt change the fact that this disappointed me.
I was in the mood for a cheesesteak. I had been told that Lattuca's had good subs. I saw they had a cheesesteak on the menu. What we received was a sad, 90's version of a steak sandwich made with one of those frozen, rectangular sheets of meat, the kind you find in the frozen meat section of the grocery store.
If I wanted this, I would have just gone to Giant, bought a pack of steak-ums or original Philly, a pack of amoroso Rolls, and slapped some American cheese on it for a fraction of the cost. Then, the real slap in the face was the cheese fries with bacon. I did not see it happen, but I would be shocked if they didn't fry those French fries, put cheese and bacon on them....and then microwave them. The texture of all components were somewhat rubbery -- a typical indication of using a microwave.
They ran out of mushrooms, so only half our sub had them...and I paid .50 extra for it. I know...I know....it's only 50 cents, but add to that all the above, and that they also omitted the hot peppers that were clearly printed on my receipt, and it is just a further culmination of a disappointing experience.
I'm sorry, but this type and quality of food is just not acceptable anymore for the price paid. And yes, this is partially on me for assuming that a cheesesteak in the state of PA would be respectable. For a lesson in a quality cheesesteak, head up to Philly Steak and Hoagie in Camp Hill. That is the bar, and that is what I expected. If thats what you expect too, you should go elsewhere, because you will not...
Read moreWell I was excited to go to this place, due to a friend's recommendation. I ordered a SUB and tried some pizza. The pizza was amazing, but when the guy making my sub went to the register to help another customer quick, and a blonde haired guy took over making my sub and was touching the contents with his bare left hand. I brought it to his attention, but he acted like he didn't touch it even though I looked right at him as he was doing it and I was mentioning it. Instead of making a scene I just gave the sandwich to a homeless guy outside. I was planning on coming here every weekday for lunch on my way to work, and sometimes a pizza for passing by on my way home, but I don't think this is a great idea anymore. Might only have been a $10 sub for me, but for this place they lost a possible M-F daily customer for their subs due to not wanting to take the chance of this happening again. This is how people get sick and spread germs through food and possibly cleaning chemicals into food. I do not like gambling with my food.
The first guy who I am assuming is the owner was nice, communicative, and the place is your traditional pizza joint, but I disagree with the way cold food is prepared there and it was going to be the main reason I was going there. I just got off work and was exhausted and very tired, but normally I would've asked for my money back or a new SUB. So both of our loss I guess...
STAR POINTS__________________ SUBS -3 = Primary reason going there PIZZA +2 = Discovered bonus
If the SUB was prepared with gloves I would've most likely given this place 5 stars. So rather frustratingly-disappointing especially since the owner...
Read moreSo we went there for dinner while I was working and when we pulled in I decided to get a chef salad and I got to tell you it was okay. However, the fact that you just used a spring mix was very evident seeing as how most of your lettuce was dried out and then something that I just can't live with is the fact that you gave me prepackaged salad dressing when I asked for ranch so it was almost sour tasting. There's other places that I've been up before that gave me either a homemade ranch or at least from a bottle but sealed and refrigerated and good to go for everybody. He made you feel at least like it was more homemade ranch, but just some prepackaged sour dressing. I could barely use the first package. I ended up eating my salad dry. Now my partner's sandwich did look very good but I was trying to be healthy so that's why I got a salad. I know I've had food from here in the past and overall it's relatively decent but this was the first time I had one of those salads. So if you go there you will get a good meal. You'll get good service and a good environment, but I think I'll let somebody else make the...
