Writing this from within this Starbucks. Hope they read it while I'm here. This is the worst Starbucks in the Columbus area. Forget about ordering from within the store or your order will get lost in the shuffle. I stood there waiting at least 20 minutes, not one barista asking what I'm standing there waiting for, until finally I flag down the himbo who took the order and ask...yo, my mocha? Suddenly, the barista gets to work on it...she was just standing there picking her nose prior to my asking. So rule number one, only order from the drive-thru in order to force them into making your order (you're the clog to the cars behind you). So I finally get it, WEAK. Maybe 1 shot of espresso when it's supposed to have 3. And any other Starbucks that misplaces my order, they gave me a free drink card....no way, that's not in the cards on this skid row. Barista looked like a poster child for the opioid initiative and her parole officer never gave her any free drinks so I'm outta luck. Place is empty too...probably because nobody wants to be around these juvenile baristas. They're all jaded and talking trash about the customers. No pastries. Zero. The pastry cabinet is completely spotless empty. Just empty display dishes. Oh well, good thing I brought my own cookies! Booyah! Ok, next....Suddenly, for no reason because I'm the only one in the place AND with my headphones on, THEY DECIDE TO TURN ON THE "MUSIC" AND AT FULL 11 BLAST. Almost like a middle finger to me...I guess they were still angry that I had the nerve to ask where my drink was after waiting only 20 minutes and not 20 days. It was so loud I couldn't even hear what I was listening to in my headphones. So I go straight up and tell the clerk to turn it down. He's all shaken and stirred because I got in his face so he's all apologetic with "yes, sir, I'm very sorry, I'll get on it". He goes and turns it down to 9. And of course, I am now the running trash talk target joke until I get replaced by another customer who upsets the children by expecting, wait for it... CUSTOMER SERVICE. Totally disrespectful unprofessional WEAK juvenile slob Starbucks here. Maybe this is a training ground store? As soon as my laptop gets recharged, I'm out and never returning. Wow,...
Read moreMy review is based solely on the customer service I received during this visit. I came in with a friend yesterday and ordered a Summer Berry Blast, while my friend ordered a chai tea. After placing our order, we sat down in the corner of the café and got caught up in conversation. About 10 minutes passed, and I realized I hadn’t heard my name called. I assumed they were maybe busy in the drive thru and I even asked my friend to check the pickup counter, he didn't see anything.
After 15 minutes, I finally asked a staff member who was mopping the floors around us if our drinks were ready. The woman who had taken our order responded, saying they don’t bring drinks to customers and that I needed to come up to the counter. While I understand that policy, her tone came off as passive-aggressive—polite on the surface but dismissive underneath. We truly never heard our names being called, and if staff noticed drinks sitting untouched for 15 minutes, I don’t think it would’ve been unreasonable TO WALK A FEW STEPS AND LET US KNOW.
Even a simple, “Hey, we’ve been calling your name—your drinks are ready at the counter,” would’ve been enough. Instead, the drinks sat there, and the interaction just felt awkward and...
Read moreDrive thru experience was nice. It's refreshing for someone to ask how you're doing today and wait for a response before taking the order instead of rushing through. We've gotten so accustomed to the routine these days that the sentiment is often lost. I didn't plan on saying more than "good, you?", but it was nice to take the pause and remember there's a hard working person on the other end of the mic, not just someone there taking my order. Food and drink was great per usual, nothing out of the ordinary for Starbucks. Probably wouldn't order the Impossible breakfast sandwich again, but that's not Starbucks' fault. I just tried something new and I felt it wasn't as good as their other...
