Absolutely not worth the stress or money. Met friends for brunch on a busy weekend; the parking lot is super tiny with lots of cars making ill-advised k-turns after realizing there are no spots left. Add in a few people thinking they're entitled to spots when their car is halfway into a right turn onto Central and you've got a recipe for a mess, or at least a costly accident.
Parked next door (no problem, don't stress over a spot in the lot!). Ordered iced drinks which were delivered filled to the brim in diner-style plastic cups (fine), spilling milk everywhere (it happens). Friend and I ordered the frittata (flavor was decent but dry and overcooked at the edges; had to go hard on the hot sauce). She asked to sub the frittata's side salad for crispy potatoes... charged for a side of potatoes and realized two days later neither of our plates had a salad, even though I didn't request a substitution. So... we were given incomplete meals plus charged for an extra side. To be fair, the potatoes were delicious and probably the only reason you'd ever get me back in the door.
Cherry on top was a manager/waitress/hostess (?) of a certain age (no ageism here, just making this clear for whoever from the restaurant reads this review) berating our waiter (with a deranged smile on her face) for mistakenly almost giving away a table to someone who walked in through the open garage doors instead of the side door where the hostess stand is. Poor kid looked like he was going to cry. I don't care that you "HAVE A LIST," lady... that was out of line and put the final damper on what was already just a so-so experience. If you didn't hear me loudly say, "That's not okay," while you were standing over me yelling at him, you can hear me now. :) Hoping our waiter moves on to greener pastures... better restaurants and I'm sure better work experiences abound in Union County.
Maybe people have better luck with this place down the shore, but Westfield was a hard miss. $33 I could've easily spent elsewhere on a complete meal and less chaotic atmosphere. Go support a local diner; you'll get better food and at least when they yell, it's with love.
0.5 stars, rounded up to 1 because the potatoes...
Read moreI’ve been coming every week and trying something new each time. And every single time I do a dance in my seat. The food tastes incredibly fresh and clean — you can tell everything is made with quality ingredients and care. Every bite feels light yet satisfying, with flavors that don’t need any heavy sauces or extras to shine.
The fries are crispy and thin and can supplement any meal you decide on.
Hot honey chicken sandwich is massive be prepared to take some home.
BLT was incredible. The fried tomatoes made it.
The steak sandwich is my go to.
Steak and eggs perfect for a hangover.
Anything you order, you will be happy and coming back to try more.
The coffee is outstanding — smooth, rich, and balanced without that bitter aftertaste you often find elsewhere. It’s so good it doesn’t need sweetener, which says everything about how well it’s brewed.
The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with a modern, cozy vibe that makes it perfect for lingering over brunch or catching up with a friend. Service is friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
If you appreciate high-quality food and coffee that speaks for itself, this place is a must-visit. It’s also very fairly priced considering the portions are so large. I always end up with a to-go box. I loved the holmdel location, but this...
Read moreMe and my cousin saw this place just opened and decided to go there today. The place was cute and the staff were friendly. I got the Clucken Russian with a side of fries and my cousin got the pancakes with a side of bacon. The waitress was raving how the pancakes were better than IHops (she used to work there). We trusted her judgement and were excited for our food. We also got the Cereal coffee which was coffee with applejacks on top of it… a let down. When we got our coffee, there was soggy cereal at the bottom of our cup. When the food got to the table it looked promising. My cousins pancakes were not even fully cooked in the center. The chicken on my sandwich was so thick that it was so chewy and felt uncooked. As I continued to eat it, it was uncooked in the inside. The sides were probably the best part of the whole meal. The bacon was good and the fries were really crispy. Some of the fries were so hard I thought I was about to break my tooth. When they brought over the food they brought the check with it which felt rushed and very weird. Overall, wouldn’t come back here, I was...
