Acting Out in Westfield — Attraction in Westfield

I have never seen a group of kids so happy to go into an extracurricular activity as they do when going to an Acting Out class. Don't get me started on the sweet shows they have the kids put on! My son absolutely loves to perform in front of an audience and it's wonderful how many opportunities they give the kids to practice this skill. Even if they don't continue with acting it's a fantastic life skill.

My son has truly found his passion in acting and singing thanks to the kind and extremely talented teachers here. It's incredible how many young performers they have trained that have gone on to Broadway and beyond.

My son is showing signs of potential of actually being a successful performer. Roberta has not only been honest with us if she thinks he has potential, but has also helped us create a plan to help him develop the necessary skills to potentially achieve his dreams.

As soon as my daughter is old enough, I will be signing her up for a class too.

My son was bitten by the acting bug by age ten. When he needed help with audition prep , I was thrilled to find out that Acting Out had opened another school in Westfield NJ I had friends and acquaintances whose children attended classes and/ or had private coaching at their Brooklyn location. My son absolutely loved working with Roberta and John while preparing for his first audition. Nick did vocal coaching with Ms. Robert and monologue work with John.They both were wonderful with their great energy and how very well they related to my son, helping to make him more comfortable and confident . When it came time to prepare for high school auditions , Nick wanted to only work with Roberta and/ or John. Acting Out is THE place to go for theatrical training in the region. And not just for the kids - Their acting class for adults was truly Transformative for me.

I am a complete novice, but in just a few short weeks I learned so much. Our instructor, Katie, created a safe environment where she instantly formed a trusting bond amongst our classmates. Katie really knows her stuff. And she made us all feel empowered to get up on that stage and give it our all. Everyone in the class either had absolutely no experience or had not acted since high school or college. But by the end of our time together we all gave truly moving performances.

I cannot wait for the next adult acting class...
