I love this place and I love Robin! I am sensitive to all kinds of things—foods, additives, certain oils, textiles and smells; you name it, I’m sensitive to it. Lol! Because of that, I go out of my way to make sure I eat organic, use organic products for myself, my family and my clients, and I invest in holistic therapies like homeopathy, bodywork and reiki to keep me balanced. Being mixed race, I used to go and get my hair chemically straightened and one time they left the relaxer on too long and burned my scalp, turning my soft curly hair texture to that of a crispy broom! :( I swore off going to salons for a long time because of the fear of the chemicals and harsh environment. But when I heard Robin was opening a holistic healing salon with organic haircare right here in town, it was a no brainer for me! If I’m traveling or she’s busy I WILL wait until I can get my hair done by Robin because I KNOW she’ll do a great job and only use safe products on my hair. As a reiki master, I love that she is also a reiki master too, so having her cut my hair is also a soothing, energy clearing experience. We both own businesses so we talk shop and encourage each other. She is such a loving, supportive Italian Mama to everyone who comes in—I even saw her get the postal worker some water and essential oils for her headache one time! The salon is clean, peaceful and calming! Robin does a fantastic job at listening and giving me the haircut I want. Robin also helps me with deciding on how dark or light I want my hair to be! Robyn is the best! I’ve never had a bad experience, and she gives great advice on how to take care of my hair. If I bring in a photo for inspiration, I leave looking like that! I also love the wide range of organic and natural products. Would give more than 5 stars...
