Edit: 4/21/2025: My car has been giving me some difficulties so I’ve been going to this location again to minimize the risk. Somehow, I don’t know how they did it, this particular Chipotle has gotten WORSE over the past year since my initial review. It’s more than just lack of ingredients or slow pace. The workers are apathetic if not outright confrontational, the food is correct about half of the time, and it disappoints literally 8 out of every 10 experiences. I’m not coming back to this one anymore, and I’m serious this time. With all the other reviews here, it appears I’m not alone in that viewpoint. Westfield deserves better…
Alright. I really hate to do this. I’ve been eating at Chipotle since early high school (in my 30s now), and I have given this particular store SO MANY chances. It’s so close to where I live, and close to work as well. But unfortunately, this store, despite its friendly workers and convenient location, is just PAINFULLY mediocre. It’s gotten to the point where I simply drive to the Carmel one or the one in N Michigan Road bc the quality is so much more likely to be consistent. It officially came to a head on Tuesday, when after a long, drawn-out work shift in which I was fighting illness, all I wanted was my incredibly simple burrito order on the way home. And when I arrived home, the order was not even close. Correct bag label, incorrect burrito put into the bag. So, I went through the process of AI-customer service and they gave me a voucher for a replacement burrito, which I used immediately after. Since my mother also works close to the store location, I asked her to pick up my (hopefully) correct order on her commute home. I used the free entree reward in the app as instructed by AI Customer Service, and bc it’s an hour later, I add chips to the order as well. The workers gave my poor mother WAY too much pushback for something that was already paid for, and OH, obviously forgot the chips too. So yeah, I’m an incredibly forgiving dude. I’ve given literally months of chances to change my view of this particular location, but I’m officially done with...
Read moreLet me say I understand it’s Sunday, it’s nice out, you’re close to grand park, but how long have you been open that you should know how a day like today might go? The entire place was dirty, but I was going to look past that between the several groups of kids that come and go from this location. I waited upwards of 20-25 minutes in a very long line. I’m not going to say no one was working hard, they were. With the exception of the kid at the cash registered who was standing there eating chips, not even bothering to wipe off the very dirty countertop next to the cash register. I guess my real frustration came when it was FINALLY my turn to order. I had heard two people before me try to ask for cheese on their burrito bowl to which the kid with the green hair and numerous facial piercings said they were out of cheese. Ok I guess I have some shredded cheese at home. So I order a burrito bowl, ask for chicken, only to be told they are out of chicken. I was bummed because nothing else seemed appetizing to me. So I asked what the other meat was, some kind of spicy chicken but it was an up charge. Why should I have to pay more for something I didn’t really want when you were out of what I wanted? Whatever. We move to salsas and I see the empty bowl of pico and ask if there’s more, nope. They are out of that too. That was it for me, I left. I waited that long for them to not even have the things I wanted. I know they were busy I know they were going as fast as they can (most of them) but for the love of god don’t let people wait in that line when you’re out of things. Oh they were...
Read moreThis is the worst Chipotle of all in the area. I will not be back to this location and I literally live five minutes away. Tonight I tried the food again. At 8pm on Friday the cold tables were being cleaned out to shutdown. The line was disgusting with food smeared everywhere. The rice just like usual is horrifically undercooked, I perfer not to crunch on my bowl of food or even when i get a burrito its all the same. This location must not be able to get any ingredients delivered as the rice had no cilantro and barely tasted of lime. The last few times I have tried to ask for peppers there never seems to be any, until the next day. When I went to get napkins and a fork there was neither to be found, yet there was at least 7-8 employees on the clock and with three people in line. Seeing an employee chewing his food while talking to the customer ahead of me asking what she wanted in her bowl. I would assume anyone would rather not have a chance of the food the guy was chewing popping out into the line of a customer food. The lack of quantity per each item is ridiculous as in a half a scoop of rice for a bowl. I happy pay for extras but good lord could I get what I am paying for to start with? Even Taco Bell has larger burritos for a fraction of the price. It doesn't matter if you go in, drive thru, or online ordering it all comes out the same.
I frequent the Plainfield Chipotle often, their store is amazing, clean, well managed, quality everytime, plus the satisfaction of feeling...
