My wife and I made our first visit to Nyla's to celebrate my birthday. We decided to forego the valet parking since there was free street parking available close by. We made reservations the day before, but they weren’t overly busy on that Wednesday evening, and I think we would have been seated quickly regardless. We were warmly greeted by the valet crew, the hostesses at the door, and then by our server, Caroline. Caroline was exceptionally good and made us feel welcome and comfortable. She was thoroughly knowledgeable about the menu and the restaurant, and was articulate, friendly, and excellent in every way. We started our meal with the stuffed mushrooms. l thought they were delicious, but my wife thought they were good but not great. For my entree and sides, I had the Chicken Milanese with mashed potatoes, broccolini and fresh wedge salad with a tangy vinaigrette. My wife ordered the blackened shrimp and zucchini pasta with cream of mushroom soup. As usual, we shared everything. The wedge salad and cream of mushroom soup were both 10 out of 10. My Chicken Milanese was good, with just the right amount of breading and good seasoning and presentation. It could have had a little more flavor, but still very good. I preferred the blackened shrimp with zucchini pasta, with the highlight being the shrimp; the flavor and cook were perfect. The portion sizes were just right. We finished our evening with a complimentary chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream (it was my birthday). It was crazy-good.

I loved almost everything about this place. The building was amazing, they made use of every square inch of the renovated barn. Service was top notch. The menu had lots of intriguing dishes, apps, and cocktails. We started with the zucchini fries and they were very good. Perfectly seasoned and the aioli was a nice pairing. We both had the mushroom soup and both loved it. Was probably the best I've had. Things took a step back from there. I had the special, crab stuffed shrimp with spinach risotto. The shrimp were good and cooked properly. The risotto had good flavor, but was way too dry. My wife had the chicken milanese and didn't like it at all. I agreed that it did have an off putting flavor that she thought was oil. She did love the green beans and mash. This was likely a one off issue as I know lots of folks love the chicken. Even still, we will definitely be back to try more items.

This food right here is some of the best food you'll ever get to enjoy. You don't eat it in the traditional sense, this is pure flavor and joy on these plates. You couldn't ask for a better sea bass if you tried, and it's the only sea bass not on a coast that I've ever had were it's actually done right. The crab stuffed mushrooms are fantastic, my only negative review I can't eat more in one ciair. You can tell there's a lot of pride in the food, the atmosphere and from the staff with how well done everything is. Every one of the wait staff is amazing and the cocktails are made fantastically as well. It isn't a cheap trip, but it is one of the best ones you could ever possibly make. Do yourself a favor and find the time to try one of these plates. I know my wife and I will be making many more visits to try out the rest of the menu, it's simply a disservice not to.

Been to Nylas twice in a span of two months. Right now this is probably my fav spot in the north Hamilton county area. Valet is included, both times we reserved and were let in and shown to our table immediately after arriving. First time had dinner in the second floor, just with the wife. Second time brought family along and we were sat on the 1st floor. Both times the service and waiters were excellent. They know the menu, they know what to recommend, very professional and polite. Have had a few drinks but always comeback to the cookie infused old fashion. That thing is very tasty and gets better as it sits for a bit. The food is amazing. The mushroom cream soup is nothing short of addicting. I would probably eat that by the pint. Crab stuffed shrooms were great, devil eggs were great. The candied bacon was tasty. Lamb chops were superb, full of flavor. Chimichurri was very good (rare outside of Miami or a latín area to get chimichurri right), cooked to perfection, good portion. The NY strip was cooked perfectly. This is going to sound wild, but I rather eat a steak here than St. Elmos. au Gratin potatoes were splendid. Steakhouse Mushroom were a surprise, sweet, salty, very tasty. You can taste a lot of french influence in their cooking. Again, excellent location. A gem in the north...

Our first experience here was to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary and it will not be our last! The seating area inside is intimate and it was packed. It was a beautiful evening so we chose to sit outside. Our server Zach was fantastic and made helpful suggestions on the apps. The true star here is the food. We had the deviled eggs to start at Zach's encouragement. He was not wrong - they are the best deviled eggs I've ever had. The cream of mushroom soup was also in a league of its own. I devoured this entire bowl - and I am not exaggerating when I say I typically do NOT like mushrooms. Finally, my NY Strip - which I order medium-well. The server had me cut in to test when he delivered, i always appreciate this. And I was happy to find it was indeed cooked to perfection. No steak sauce needed - every bite was delicious! My wife had the Chicken Malanese, which means I got to have her leftover Chicken Malanese the following day - another home run! I've gone on alot about the food here to make a point - THE FOOD IS AMAZING HERE! I am turning 50 next month and this is where I want to celebrate! Thank you for an outstanding dining experience. P.S. - if your looking for a cocktail, the Aviation definitely lives up...
