Portions are absolutely incredibly small. My wife's steak and cheese wrap came out with absolutely no cheese. Then the cook came out and proceeded to let my wife know that the cheese is in there she just can't see it. When we asked questions about our meal and why the portions were so small as well as the missing ingredients, and older heavy set woman came out and let us know that we were wrong. All of the portions are hand weighed every plate. She was extremely confrontational and made us feel like we were the bad guys for just wanting clarification on things like, "hey there's no cheese in this meal which cheese is a staple ingredient." I ordered a Reuben expecting a normal Reuben that you would get out of any other place. What I got was bread, sauerkraut, cheese and one piece of corn beef. To put it in perspective the bread took up well over 75% of the sandwich. They did give us $5 off for my wife's rap not including a main ingredient as well as having sauteed vegetables that were actually crunchy and undercooked. So props to that I guess...
I love supporting local businesses, especially in this area... But I will never return here and will adamantly voice my experience here. Not just the quality of food and absolutely miniscule portions, but the confrontational staff that made my entire family feel stupid for...
Read moreStopped in for brunch just after 11am on a Wednesday with my wife and our 18 month old son. We waited about 10 minutes for a table to open up, and then a staff person sat us. After that, no one came over to even say they'd be right with us, let alone take our drink orders. We watched people sat after us get drinks, be place orders, and still we were ignored. We certainly don't expect special treatment just because we're out with a toddler, but some acknowledgement goes a long way, especially when the kid is hungry and we're clearly doing everything we can to avoid a meltdown. After waiting at least 10 minutes at the table with absolutely no interaction with a server, we put our coats on and left. Mind you, this process included suiting up our child, so there was ample time for someone to come over and at least offer an apology. Not impressed. And people wonder why local businesses are struggling. Take the criticism and make some positive changes. I'm sure we're not the only ones who have experienced this sort of...
Read moreI was asked to sign in and wait in the back hallway by restrooms. There were 2 booths and both large window tables open. No one else was waiting to be seated. After 5 minutes I peaked around corner and asked the 3 waitstaff talking at the cash register if I could just seat myself. And that is where it went south people: The waitress felt the need to inform me of the seating arrangements- when it’s busy (?).... ‘for future reference’. She asked me if everyone in my party was present or not. She had to repeat that one twice. I could not believe they would make me wait in the outback when it was so slow. I really just wanted to sit with a coffee and wait for my friend!! :(There were 3 booths empty at this point :(
As I sat I could hear (as I am sure everyone in this small place could) the waitress talking about me to the others. She wasn’t happy... I can vouch that she was inefficient and unprofessional. ALL I WANTED WAS A COFFEE...
