Wed. 10/17/18, almost noontime, I went out to grab something to eat because I had scheduled a meeting at noon, so I needed to grab a quick snack, I thought, "I This place sells pizza by the slice", which is pretty quick and convenient if you are in a rush. I entered to this establishment and the guy at the kitchen counter didn't even let me ask him what type of pizza they had, or what other things were on the menu, he just stood there and asked "you want 1 or 2 slices?", in a rude manner, I would have to say...I was a little bit confused, so I was trying to build a proper answer, and he repeated again, in a rude manner "you want 1 or 2 slices?". That's when I thought "I have no time to start an argument or a discussion", so I got my 2 slices to and I left.
I have to say, that in all the years living here in the Metroplex (8 years), I have never got into a situation like this, that I can remember, I really don't know if this guy was having a bad day, but I don't think there is a reason to be rude, If you don't know how to deal with people, don't attend people, if you don't know how to deal with stress, breathe in 5 seconds and breathe out 5 secs, or if you have an anger management problem, get some counseling, it might help.
Unfortunately, this kind of behavior makes me think it twice before coming back to this place, their pizzas are not a big deal, and this so-called "Italian" restaurant, looks always empty, it seems that they have been doing a great job scaring all their clientele.
Dear potential customer, if you are in a rush and there is nothing you can do but to grab a junkie slice of pizza, please be aware that you are going to be treated as junk, but PLEASE, if you have time and there is no rush, Google other places and I can guarantee you, that you will find better options and a better experience as a customer within the same Zip Code. Do yourself a favor and spare yourself from a bad experience, use your...
Read moreI popped in tonight at someone's recommendation. I was greeted by a nice gentleman who directed me about the place. There's a small dining room with table service, there's a more casual side to grab takeout orders or site and eat, and there's a bar. The casual side was hotter than the 102 degrees outside so I skipped that, the bar allows smoking so I skipped that, and I ended up sitting in the service dining area. The waitress was very friendly and professional. That nice gentleman offered to buy me an appetizer and right after that I was told he doesn't work there he just "does this."
Anyway, I ordered a caeser salad and veal picatta. The salad appeared to have premade dressing but it tastes fine. The veal was great however it seemed like the picatta gravy was also premade or from a pouch or something. Not bad but hand made would have driven that flavor up nicely.
All-in-all not a bad joint. I probably should have gotten pizza but once I sat down I picked...
Read moreI recently moved here from NY/NJ and had the pleasure of dining at La Scala restaurant and I must say, it was an exceptional experience. I ordered the chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce and a slice of pepperoni pizza, and both dishes were absolutely outstanding. The chicken Parmesan was cooked perfectly and the pizza was amazing.
Not only was the food amazing, but the service was impeccable as well. Alex, the owner, was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that my dining experience was top-notch. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality, and it truly added to the overall enjoyment of the evening.
If you're looking for a place to dine or even a slice of pizza (yes they sell slices) where you won't be disappointed, I highly recommend La Scala. The food is outstanding, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is warm...
