Top Tier Cakes — Restaurant in Westlake

I purchased a cake for a friend’s birthday. We had it sitting out for about an hour and a half. There was a very strange, freezer burnt flavor. I called the store to let them know. The reply was that I should’ve had it sitting out longer during the winter months and that since they didn’t have a freezer it couldn’t of had a freezer burnt flavor. It clearly had a flavor of being refrigerated for a very long time and not covered. It was not fresh at all and not at all what we expected. The cake inside was fine but everybody took off the frosting. The owner was very annoyed and didn’t even apologize. I would never recommend this place nor will I or any of our friends go...

The customization that I requested was on point and exactly what I requested. It was so nice! It was ready on time and the lady that waited on me was very nice & personable. I appreciate that, it goes a long way. Now let's talk about the cake... OMG! This was the BEST cake that I have ever had and it was huge! I'd say 4" high, maybe more, with some delicious filling (bavarian cream maybe)... they had lots of filling options but it was so good. The frosting was amazing... light, but thick and so yummy! I'm not normally a cake eater but I couldn't stop eating it. I recommended it to everyone at the party. Seriously, you have to try it, you will...

Top Tier Cakes deserves more than five stars for their outstanding cake and service. I found them here on the knot after I procrastinated on booking our wedding cake. During an especially busy wedding season, they were willing to squeeze in our cake order even though they were already booked for the season. The cake itself was beautiful and the best tasting cake I've had. We've had dozens of wedding guests rave about the cake and ask who made it - some even texting us the next day to ask for the bakery's contact info. I know many of them will be calling Top Tier for their next cake occasion...
