Checkers — Restaurant in Westland

I had to pick up a DoorDash order at this location. Their DoorDash and other delivery service pick up window is set up stupid. Instead of a regular drive-through window which you pull up to and get your food out of your driver side window, you would have to pull up and they have to reach through your passenger window to give you your food so I did not use that window. I walked up to the window instead, they directed me to the other walk up window, which was fine, except that they were very rude. They were not very friendly. Their Customer Service attitude stinks. The only reason I would ever go back to this restaurant is if I have a delivery that I have to pick up from there, but if I have to go to checkers to get my own food, this is not the location I’m going to go to. If you can’t be friendly to the customers when they are ordering or even picking up to deliver for somebody else, and you don’t need to be in a Customer Service position. Why the managers /owners hired somebody that is so rude is beyond me and if this person is a manager there, that’s even worse because if you don’t have people skills and you don’t know how to smile and fake it, you don’t need to be a manager either. Sick of constantly getting my orders wrong, yet the money they take is right, always get small or med fries when LG is ordered, or doubles are ordered and only singles made and put in the bag if they even put them at all, and they never give you a reciept. For instance this order was supposed to be large, gave me a small fry, and the 2 doubles for 6.50, the chicken was a single and looks like they dumped a bag of lettuce on it to hide it and it's rock hard and the double cheese burger we got wasn't a double or even had cheese. And certainly they don't give you the proper reciept and not the one with the rewards points on the bottom that they are supposed to give you which is highly aggravating considering I spend on average 30 ish every time we come which is at least once a week because of work and hockey but damn that would have been money off my bill and everything else but nope employees don't know how to run the register or don't care, even pointed out to them and they just say they don't know. And then have the nerve to say on the window the world is short staffed be kind, No the hell it is not, and either way, do your jobs. So annoying about to just drive down...

Not great. I Tried to take my kiddo there for lunch a few days ago. I was on my work break so we didn't have a ton of time. We waiting a LONG time in line, but I wasn't too mad, it was lunch time after all. But our total was almost $20 for a couple burgers, one order of fries, some cheese sticks and a milkshake, when I asked for a little mayo (its so good on their fries) the cashier was rude and couldn't be bothered to put a little mayo in a condiment cup for me, just chirped that they didn't have any packets and shut the window in my face. I wasn't trying to knock on it and cause a scene or make the people behind me wait even longer, so I pulled into the MCD down the road and had my kid run in for some mayo. Only then did i realize that the same rude cashier gave me the wrong dang milkshake. Who the heck wants a plain vanilla shake?? i ordered it half bananna and half chocolate, it was on my reciept as banana and chocolate... but... all vanilla. I was so bummed and we didn't have time to go back.... plus I definitely would have made a scene at that point. I'll hit the taco bell next...
