EDIT * 6/9/19 * Employees came out to fix the fence. Brian stopped by to look at it and make sure it was done. As Brian was leaving, my SO asked what he was there for, I explained to confirm the fence was repaired, and my SO responded with "well that's a no since I can see it (damage) from here." They had repaired some of the fence. Employees came back out. After those repairs were complete, I noticed the replaced post is higher than the others (not too noticeably) and something seems to be causing the panels on either side of it to V out at the top. After all is said and done, I probably would not use the company again. If you decide to hire PPM, I would STRONGLY recommend carefully inspecting anything that may have been damaged and withholding payment until all services and related repairs are 100% complete.
EDIT * 5/26/19 * I paid a few thousand for another large tree removal a few months ago. In the process, my fence was damaged, including a post. PPM fixed what they could at the time, but said they needed to come back after the ground thawed to replace the post. I began calling them a month ago. The first time I called, I was told someone would call me back. I waited a week and a half with no response. I called Brian and left a message with no response. I waited another week and called again from my work phone number and this time my call was answered. Brian apologized and said they would be out sometime the next week. By Friday, no one had shown up or contacted me. I contacted Brian and he said the next week. This is now into week 3 with no contact. I advised Brian I am putting my house up for sale and this is something that needs to be completed as soon as possible. Had I known I would have had this much trouble getting the promised repairs, I would have withheld payment. I will update this review if/when the fence repairs are completed.
Estimate was received quickly and was a great price. I had a very large, diseased tree and they were able to remove it quickly and cleaned everything up. Crew was very friendly and answered any questions I had. I'm very happy with the service and will be...
Read moreNote: We were involuntary customers/receivers of "service" by PPM. Our neighbor hired PPM to remove a healthy tree on our shared lot line without notice to us. PPM trespassed onto our property without notice, although we were clearly at home. After discussion with our neighbor, the shared tree trunk was left, and overhanging limbs were removed. Limbs from other trees wholly in our yard were also cut off well into our yard. Hours after we asked PPM not to trespass or touch any other trees in our yard, because we have our own arborist, a worker returned to our yard to cut the rest of a branch off right up to the tree trunk. (It looks a lot like the "call an arborist, not a tree trimmer" cautionary picture on PPM's website.) This was done by workers climbing in the trees and in an elevated lift not wearing hard hats, and who became agitated when I took photographs to document this. If you want to foment discord with your neighbors by trespassing on their property; have your or your neighbor's oak trees "trimmed" at a time of the year when they are likely to become infected with oak wilt or other diseases; be spoken to rudely and ordered to leave by a little man who is trespassing in your yard; and possibly see someone injured because they did not follow OSHA safety requirements, by all means, call PPM. If you care about trees, and helping them survive, maybe...
Read morePPM Tree Service did an amazing job trimming and pruning my maple tree in my backyard. Some larger sized branches were hanging from a high wind storm we had, one of which was over my newly installed roof. I didn't want to take a chance to see if it would fall in another wind storm, so after getting 3 other estimates, I saw a PPM truck on a street in my neighborhood and stopped to get their contact info. They are actual arborists too, so they know trees. They gave me the best price to do what I wanted, which included removing several broken, hanging larger branches and clear the tree from hanging over my home. I actually had the tree trimmed by another company several years earlier and they damaged my driveway with their bucket truck. The PPM team were very careful with putting the bucket truck next to my house to reach the tree and the climber guy was so careful in bringing the branches down safely around my home and they cleaned everything up great, plus blew my roof off. They were way better than the other company I hired and even the electric company tree trimmers that came out and cleaned up my maple over the power lines. I plan to have some more trees cleaned up as well and my neighbor is looking to have his big tree done as well. I would highly recommend PPM for their wonderful staff and climbing and clean up...
