How could anyone say no to all you can eat grill and hotpot at $22 lunch? There's a few obstacles to my giving it five stars.
A lot of reviews dinged the service. I found it to be somewhat unfair. The lady has limited English and was never unpleasant. Yes she didn't come round every 60 seconds to ask if everything is okay, but we're expected to fetch our own food. We have no difficulty with her asking to add extra hotpot broth. My friend was more out going and started a pointing and body language to clarify which things go on grill and she spent two minutes pointing and body language explaining. So I think service is acceptable as long as you knew it's not Olive garden. My only criticism was that she has difficulty processing my friend's credit card and we ended up paying cash
Of the spread the meats and protein are of course mainly average quality or previously frozen. The vegetables are all fresh. But all are well kept at correct temperature. The spread has much bigger variety than I expected, including razor clams. This makes it fantastic value.
The sauces available has every permutations you can ask, and you can mix your own custom creations to your heart's content. The only omission I desire is sesame paste/tahini. The purist in me went for soy sauce and sesame oil with a dash of chilli.
The cooked food section looked great but turned out average to above average, not that different from the average Chinese buffet. The fried noodles and shrimp fried rice are okay. The highlight is the braised pork neck bone, which was excellent. Honorable mention the papaya salad.
My main beef was the heating power of the grill is too low. It took much longer to get colour except the thinnest cut. The hotpot induction plate was acceptable. It took about five minutes from when we are seated to come to a full boil. Meantime we sort ourselves out and get a bit of cooked food and there's no waiting. The deal is big hotpot small grill, not equal. I do appreciate the two compartment hotpot, one spicy/sour one clear broth for variety.
Overall very good value with many rare stuff and recommended. I'll return for the exotic experience and items not available elsewhere. It's enjoyable if expectations...
Read moreWow, I just discovered a new favorite eating place! To be honest I've been looking for a place like this and just found it. I don't normally write reviews but I need to do it for this place because it's so good.
It has both all you can eat seafood and meat hot pot as well as grill, and the price is very reasonable. For all you can eat hot pot or all you can eat grill only, its only $17.99 per person for dinner ($14.99 for lunch) and for all you can eat both hot pot and grill, its only $20.99 per person for dinner ( as of Sept 2021). Each person has his/per own hot pot. Food is very fresh and tasty, not at all like one of the reviewers said that it's not fresh. I love the shrimp and fish, and snail selection. I also love the mushroom, tần ô and other vegetables. And the Korean beef ribs for grill is so tasty (besides seafood). Rau muống xào tỏi is also my favorite. It would cost a lot in another restaurant. Food is very healthy. I was very surprised that the restaurant is very busy, food is so good and price is so reasonable but there are not many reviews. It looks to me like the adjacent 504 Lau & Noodles and 98 Degree Grill Take outs I saw on Google are now both within this restaurant. The only negative thing I found here is that staff is busy so didnot go outside to greet newly arrived customers right away, so if you are the first time customer like me, you might feel less welcomed than some other places at first, but that doesn't bother me. I'm so glad I found this place and will definitely eat here often.
Mình muốn viết 1 bài riêng bằng tiếng Việt nhưng không được nên sửa bài này thêm tiếng Việt vậy. Ăn ở đây ngon quá, vừa có đồ biển vừa có thịt. Vừa có lẩu vừa có nướng, ăn thỏa thích (all you can eat) mà giá cả lại rất tốt. Đồ ăn rất tươi và nhiều rau và nấm. Nếu chỉ ăn all you can eat lẩu hoặc nướng thì có $17.99 cho bữa tối và $14.99 cho bữa trưa tại thời điểm tháng 9/2021. Còn nếu all you can eat cả lẩu và nướng thì $20.99. Mỗi người có 1 nồi lẩu riêng. Mình tìm một chỗ như thế này đã lâu mà giờ mới gặp nên rất happy. Chắc chắn mình sẽ tới...
Read moreThis was my first Viet AYCE! This place is pretty large with ample seating and very wide open. Since this is my first Viet buffet I can't compare to any other at this point. The cool thing about this one is that you can have either hot pot, grill or both!! One grill to share for everyone and each person can get their own hot pot bowl split with two different broths One is Pho broth and the other is a red/mild spicy tangy broth and both are good! There was shaved beef/chicken, spicy beef, spicy pork, bulgogi style beef, various fish(with and without marinade), along with hot cooked selections like chicken wings, softshell crab, pork, tofu, veggies, beef, chicken etc., Also, the veggie section which had cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, squash, taro etc., with many sauces chili, soy, sweet and sour, jalapenos, garlic etc., The selections are not huge but for me there was plenty enough! FYI, start with the squash and taro and put them in your broth because it takes a while to cook and then your veggies/meats, sauces etc., ~ towards the end of your cooking, you will have some broth in that bowl that will be utterly delicious and the squash/taro will thicken it a little and will be a flavor explosion in your mouth! Grilling the meat is just like Kbbq and they give you lots of butter to coat the grill before cooking your meat. Hmm, hmm....I forgot to take pics but will do so when I go again soon. Check this place out if you can. The employees there said that it is packed on the weekends and to call for reservations otherwise you will be in for a long wait. Cheers and...
