As soon as we walked in, we were ignored. Only one lady made eye contact, but she decided to go over and assist the two men (who were Caucasian and arrived minutes after we did) who sat next to us. Then we waited for over 15 minutes, I honestly was about to tell my sister and brother if they wanted to leave because the three ladies clearly ignored us.
Finally after waiting one of the servers looked at the rest of the ladies and said I guess as she walked over to our table. She took our orders, we ate our food and I'm not sure if the food wasn't cooked well or something but the food didn't stay down a few minutes after we left. This experience was terrible and very unwelcoming.
In the past, my sister-in-law had positive experiences with the male staff who would always be our server the times we were there and now that I think about it maybe it was because he was a POC just like us and the ladies were not and didn't want to serve us. Their omelets were good along with their hash browns and that was another reason my sister-in-law and I would go to this spot, along with the great customer service of the man who was there the times we went to uncle Pete's.
Honestly, it's sad to see such treatment based on how we look. I have not been to this place since this horrific experience and don't plan to go back. I hope that they treat POC with the same respect they treat the rest of the people who aren't POC.
If you still decide to go I hope you have a positive experience and the ladies don't treat you the way we...
Read moreBeen here twice on Sundays with my uncle. This is a complaint for our visit 11/20. Nobody acknowledges right away incoming guests. Everyone just stands in the doorway waiting for help. The elder female server is very attentive on our first trip, but the young server has an attitude problem!!! Is this a Gen Z problem? If you don't want to work or actually can't be hospitable in the service industry -- go home and do your TikToks.
First offense, when she asked if we needed anything else. I asked about my side of country gravy. She just said "oh I put it in," and she left our table. Hold on. How about "Oh I'm sorry about, let me go check on that for you." Either way, the owner/manager got it for me and she was telling him out loud about telling him to bring to out. That behavior of an employee is disrespectful.
Second offense, my uncle asked for the check while waiting for the to go food and she said the food is in progress and waiting for that before we can the check and I remembered she still asked if we still wanted the check. At this point, fix your tone of voice.
Check didn't come, so she basically disregarded our request. I thought guests can pay the tab when it's requested, never heard of that rule. Either way, to go food was done and it was time to pay. Bring it to the front and she just charged us. I shouldn't have bothered with a tip. Please train the hostess/sitter how to serve, she'll do a far better job since she was...
Read moreMy family and are visiting from AZ from the moment we walked in two of the waiters made a ugly face at us like they were having a bad day. We are a party of 8 if you been there their tables of 4 are literally one foot apart my sons are big boys 6’6 and 6’3 plus the rest of us. So we decided not to push the tables together from extra room. Well let me tell you it really irritated the male waiter he was so rude and turned and walked away then another female waitress (red lipstick ) came and said push them together I said no thank you we’re okay for a little extra room. Well her faces she made where beyond rude. She was like I guess it’s whatever walks away very rude. Finally came our waitress the blonde young lady very nice and polite greeted us and talked to us. Anyways after a swimming team if 25 walked in the other waitresses, and waiters were arguing about who was going to attend them. We decided to pay for our drinks and just say I do not recommend this place to anybody at all and if the owner really wants to keep good reviews, he needs to talk to his employees. I would never recommend this place, and I would...
