Above and Beyond Cakes — Restaurant in Westmoreland

Talk about Above and Beyond!! Daniel and Meghan went above and beyond not only in their cake tasting, service, and final product, but also in working with our Synagogue with being able to give us a product that complied with the Synagogue's kosher policy. When we first signed our contract with them, we were unaware that our Synagogue actually had much more strict kosher policies that needed to be followed. Rather than telling us they couldn't do it, Daniel and Meghan spoke with the Rabbi, and toured the Synagogue's on site kosher kitchen to see if they could make their cake there. When they realized they could not make the cake at the Synagogue, they still didn't drop us! They took a call from the Rabbi from Israel, and after speaking with him it was decided that they could still make our wedding cake. Then they let the Rabbi tour their kitchen a week before the wedding so he could make final approval that the facility was kosher.

Did they have to do any of this? No. They could have dropped us as a client and moved along. We are so grateful we had them in the end though, and the cake was spectacular.

If you are looking for a cake that is both visually stunning AND tastes absolutely delicious - look no further! Daniel, Meghan, and Courtney were so easy to work with - from the tasting appointment to our final product, I am so glad we chose Above & Beyond Cakes! The amount of flavor choices and combinations available allows you to pick EXACTLY what you are looking for. We chose to have a 3-tiered cake along with cupcakes and we were able to include 4 different flavors/combos. All of the flavors we tried were so yummy, we couldn’t pick just one! And let me tell you, the banana cake with peanut butter buttercream frosting is TO DIE FOR. Daniel is extremely responsive throughout the planning process, and allowed us to make changes to our cake flavors and design even within a couple weeks of our wedding date. And Meghan and Courtney are some of the most talented cake designers and creators I have ever seen - please refer to their instagram page to see examples! Needless to say, we couldn’t be happier with our decision to choose Above & Beyond Cakes for our wedding! We cannot wait to order from them again...

Welcome to HEAVEN in Westmoreland. They absolutely ARE above and beyond on all levels; she is a genius confectioner. Cake pops, gourmet specialty cupcakes, cannolis, vanilla and chocolate tres leches, different types of cheesecake slices, homemade oatmeal cream pies and cookies, you name it. I particularly cannot get enough of the Tres Leches; when it hits my tastebuds it transports me through time to feeling 8 again. I’ve never had anything like it. She specializes in wedding cakes but always has a beautiful refrigerated showcase of a la carte goodies. I’ve almost had everything at this point; everything is GORGEOUS and the BEST of its kind. Her treats knock all comparisons a step down establishing a new level of top tier. She has so much to choose from I haven’t even gotten to try everything I can’t imagine what I’ll experience next.
