Pine Tree Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Westport

The waitress was very attentive but a bit frustrated, it seemed, with the technology used for ordering and paying. The food was ok but I wouldn't order it again unless the plate that the food came on (I ordered breakfast) was warm. The plate seemed like it was chilled. The plate didn't even feel room temperature , it felt chilled, which made the food go cold very fast. And, the bacon was unevenly cooked. One piece on my plate was barely cooked and the other was a little under crispy mostly. My friend had the same breakfast and both of his bacon pieces were practically raw. I could have asked for crispy bacon, so I blame myself for that. The bathroom was clean. The stereo was too loud for normal conversation. The coffee was refilled, (without me being asked if I wanted more) too often for my liking but better than not getting coffee refilled as needed. I have been here before many times but this was the least friendly environment of all of my visits. I will try again...

The food has really gone down hill. Service tonight was so bad. We eat here about once a month when come to town. Ordered cheese stick appetizer. No marinara. Really walk across the street to grocery store and buy some. No ham for the burgers that come with ham. No paper menu for customers to have at table so of course what I ordered was not what I received. None of the employees were wearing masks. All under their chins. Waitress was terrible.. I had to ask for napkins, ketchup and a knife to cut hamburger. Dropped our food on table and never came back. Couldn't even get her attention to pay the bill. The bar was not busy at all. Customer kept going into kitchen to talk with cook. What the hell happened to this bar. Would think after being closed from covid your service would be above par to make up for lost revenue. Stopped for lunch at this little roadside bar while visiting. It was a typical neighborhood spot with regulars enjoying the afternoon. The bartender/ server is named Tracy. She was very pleasant, came to our table auxiliary and took our drink order. She made a fresh pot of coffee for me, which I thought was very nice. The food was excellent. My niece said the onion rings were the best she's ever eaten. The buggers were huge, cooked to perfection and dressed with fresh ingredients. I had a veggie burger that was great. The fries were plentiful, crisp and hot. Refilled drinks often and everyone in the place seemed friendly. People were chatting but not overly loudly. The dining area and bathrooms were spotless.
