First of all- the team of servers - just about everyone- no matter who they were, when they had a free moment, offered to assist me and followed thru with kind service without me even asking- they look for positive, impactful opportunities and they offer help. They were EXCELLENT! The ambiance is fantastic. I sat at the small bar and it is an interesting watch of the expert line and pizza cooks, a TV for sports, etc. Plus the bartender/ takeout payment taker was VERY friendly and helpful to my ice teas and to the others of the service team. They had an outdoor party for (est) 30ppl, it was early 5:30pm so another 12 inside diners, and approx 10 takeout order pick ups during my 45 mins. They are a popular Italian restaurant who has earned this popularity. The food was a 9/10 ( and I'm a challenge to impress as you know ). The large portobello stuffed with Goat Cheese were tender, full of contrasting taste blends and were delicious. The Italian bread/ pizza bread chunks were great. My entree- Lasagna- was fresh, tasty cheese & meat fillings, and the sauce was a complement. One minor thing- the very outer edge of this large portion was a pasta ribbon. It is exposed during cooking so it was cooked to a solid, hard crisp- not in keeping with the entire soft large interior lasagna portion. Figure out how to change this or remove it prior to serving. I finished with a strawberry Sponge cake ( named Mimosa Cake- same name as the bartender! ) dessert and it was the perfect, light, creamy and fruit flavorful ending to the Italian meal. PS. I wanted a regular sized pizza ( to eat a few slices and take the rest home for later ) to try their pizza ( and my pasta too). But they only serve smaller 10" pizzas to the dining room customers and 12"+ to take out orders???

Such a delightful place! My friends took me here for my birthday and from the moment I got there I felt very special. There is plenty of parking in the back and some in the front, they have an outdoor seating area which looks very comfortable. We sat inside and from beginning to end it was the best attention I have received in a very long time. We sat there for three hours and they kept serving us like we had just arrived, very attentive and kind. We ordered the clams as an appetizer which were delicious (and supposedly I don’t like clams), then we ordered three different dishes. Mine was the breaded chicken with eggplant and mozzarella!!! So incredibly yummy!!!!!! We also had lots of delicious bread as compliment, and then we finished off with dessert. We ordered the cannolis, lemon cake and tiramisu. I vote for the tiramisu 100% out of all! And to top it off, they sang the Birthday Song in Spanish which was very cute. My wish was blessings to my friends, the waiters and waitresses! Thank you Via Sforza for hiring great people and cooking delicious food! Will be back soon.

Long overdue review. Giving this Italian restaurant over at Westport, CT. 5 stars for incredibly great tasting food and excellent staff service. My friend and I went there one night and ordered Calamari for appetizer, Veal Chop Famosa and Ravioli Vodka for entrƩe and a slice of cake and Cannolis to cap off the night. Kudos to the chef! Awesome selection of wine and beer too, which complimented and tied everything together. Shout out to Manny and this Ecuadorian girl (I forgot her name), for being so attentive, nice and accommodating with our requests and needs that night. Also, a big thumbs up to Yessenia for she went the extra mile, goes out of her way just to ensure that all were being taken cared of. Over and beyond outstanding service indeed. Needless to say -- excellent food, badass drinks, exceptional staff. Thank you.

I have so much to say, I don’t know where to begin. When Maria and her husband ran the restaurant, it was a delightful place to go. We have been coming here for many, many years, and it was our favorite restaurant. The nephew has taken over and that is why the vibe in the restaurant is so very different. We have stopped going all together now, because we have been treated rudely by him so many times. We went with my son and his wife for dinner, and were put on the porch, where we were the only people. The nephew walked in and turned off the air conditioning, I guess, because we were the only people. We then asked the wait staff to turn it back on. We went for last Christmas Eve because my daughter loves the place and were put in front of a duct that was flowing cold air into the restaurant and she went up and asked if we could be moved, and they completely ignored us. My daughter also wanted to have her shower there and the shenanigans from the nephew about trying to shame us because three people had to drop out at the end due to a death was just unbelievable. He also complained that he was not charging us enough for the event. He is the one that took the reservation and set the price. There were numerous other issues which were very rude and annoying, but not worth even addressing here. My husband and I have stopped going, because we are tired of the attitude, and frankly do not feel like they appreciate or even want our business. Gianni really has given us the impression that what the patrons want is of no concern to him. We will have to find a different place to celebrate lifeā€˜s...

We have been coming here for many years. It was our favorite restaurant. Adding the porch was a terrible idea. We were here for Christmas Eve, as we always do, and they ruined our Christmas Eve because the Service was so slow. The waiter said it was because everyone came at once! Of course they did, they only had seatings. We will not go there next Christmas Eve for sure.

We wanted to go for brunch tomorrow and were told we would be on the porch. I said no thanks! They really can't do a good job with so many people and such a small kitchen.

Please find a way to fix this or you will lose your valued customers.

I am adding a comment, as my remark that adding the porch dramatically affected Service was not addressed.

I am now adding another comment and changing my rating because they did a very good job during the pandemic lockdown with takeout. Having them there made all the difference and we were very appreciative. Their food continued to be excellent throughout, which could not be said for the vast majority of places. They now have the opportunity for outdoor dining. We have been once and will try to get back very soon. The only negative that I would add at this point is that there continues to be a little bit of an attitude problem. But well done, well well done, on the food.

WE NO LONGER DINE HERE AS THE ATTITUDE OF MGMT WAS SO OFFENSIVE AND OFF...
