Whenever I'm on the coast, I go in search of fresh shrimp. Not from a market, but from the boats. Asking around to different locals, we were finally led to a strip righy outside of New Orleans, where vendors were selling all types of seafood. I landed at Amys because I wanted to buy a large amount of shrimp for a party and Amy did me right. Fantastic prices, amd the iced and bagged the shrimp for me per my preference, because we were driving to Memphis. She also ships, so I know that we'll be doing business again soon

There are many vendors in this seafood market which is kind of like a flea market but one that sells only seafood, mostly fresh, some frozen and I believe all from the Gulf of Mexico. You can stroll around the place visiting each vendor as we did, it’s awesome, fun and a lot of nice people. These folks here at Amy’s are one of our favorite! Very polite people, friendly and make sure that you get your moneys worth! There were no funky seafood smells etc. Thank you for these almost lobster size shrimp! Yum!

They’re always fresh and offer great prices for a wide variety of seafood options! I love their large jumbo shrimp and their juicy plump froggie legs! They also have crab 🦀 lump and claw meat. As well as different types of fresh fish! I highly recommend this seafood mart in Westwego, La!

We stayed in the Bayou Seg State Park for 4 nights and purchased shrimp and crabs, crawl fishes every day by different group members from Amy’s seafood market. We found out that the quality of the shrimp and crawl fish were not consistent. There was only one day which had very fresh shrimp and we were able to get the black line easily by tooth pick. It means that the shrimp is really fresh. We steamed those and the way we cooked needs fresh shrimp to make it taste fresh. However once the shrimp was not fresh and we can easily find out. So I guess you have to constantly try different days and let them know you will come back to get really good shrimp? I don’t know. Also the heads of the shrimp were separated from the bodies. I don’t know why, but it definitely was some tricky on it. Some day the heads were on and some days they don’t. I can only...

1st off I live an hour & 20 minutes away. I get there & buy a hamper of crabs for $119 which were 60 crabs. Over half were empty so I called & asked to speak with the owner & some lady told me that the owner wasn’t there & the manager was busy but she promise me that the manager would call me back & make it right. That was on Tuesday so I called today & spoke with the manager & she told she is not GOD she can’t control how the crabs are & if I got over half of them full that’s great because it’s not crab season.So I feel like if it’s not crab season WHY are your crabs do HIGH. I will never shop...

Amy's Seafood is located in the Shrimp lot and it is among the better ones. Be careful who you buy from and let your common sense lead your purchase. For instance, and that happened yesterday 9/4 but NOT at Amy's Seafood, if the crabs are barely moving and there is a ton of flies "feasting on them," DO NOT buy and move on to the next stall; Amy's will do just fine! Amy's Seafood was busy but managed their human and fly traffic. The 6-feet rule is a myth and masks...well, vendors are exempt I guess and customers are subscribing to the below the nose fashion trend but "it's...
