This is based on a walk-in order to go on 1/11/25. I had 2 hours to kill on a Saturday around two pm so I went to Five Dimes Brewery. I was walking there when I remembered I always wanted to try Westwood Prime Eats. I walked in and a server approached me. I said I wanted to place a take-out order. He showed me the menu and a paper printout of the specials. I asked about his preferred burger 🍔 noting the "rizzler" as the special burger offered today. He said "I love it". Since it was my original intent to get a burger anyway and I prefer giving "the special" an opportunity to sink or swim my order for "the rizzler" was placed. Aged Mid-Rare with fries (it comes with a single pickle spear). He informed me it would be up in about 15 minutes. $26.52 I left and went to Five Dimes and had a beer. Their Orange Lunatic. A Belgian-Style Witbier. The rest is easier said in photos. 2:32 return to Five Dimes Brewery with my burger. And get another beer. 2:34 chewing the first perfect bite 🫦. It's got just the right amount of everything. It's the perfect temp. It's just slightly salty cheesy. Slightly sweet from the shaved floured fried (frizzled) onions. An amazing smokehouse mayo and BBQ sauce. Suffice to say it was good. 2:41 I look down to a box of very few remaining fries and a single empty ketchup packet. Everything exceeded my expectations. Good choices were made. 10/10

So I'm sorry to say, a little disappointing... Don't get me wrong it was a solid (French Onion) burger but was not great.. The problem was, the menu & ambiance of the location seemed awesome + great staff and I had rec'd personal recommendations from locals - so I was expecting greatness! Very cool place with, what looks like, 100-year-old tile floors At first glance, the burger looked too perfectly circular, that & the texture gave me the impression of a pre-frozen patty. They claimed all burgers are freshly made - which makes sense for a place that has (3) diff hamburger meat mixtures avaliable. But that was my honest impression. Also Kinda skimpy on the onions but excellent sauce. I'd still say worth u trying out, as I'm looking forward to trying some other stuff there - then may improve the rating I also went to the butcher after getting my take out. Extremely friendly staff and some good looking meats. Only thing I bought were some frozen meatballs. Again solid but really nothing special.

I’m a regular customer, but I had never encountered such an uncomfortable situation with noise before. We stayed for about an hour, and unfortunately, the door of a meat refrigerator kept slamming—about 20 times—which created an incredibly annoying and disruptive noise. This really made our dinner with my husband super uncomfortable. In terms of the food, it was generally as good as always—our short rib poutine was spot on, and we tried the “Tony Montana” Cuban sandwich for the first time, which had a good size and flavor. The mushroom and barley soup was just okay, nothing special, and the apple pie dessert was pretty average. I really hope the restaurant can address the noise issue because it truly ruined the dining experience. I’ll have to think twice about returning just because of that.
