I almost cried. I spent over $125 delivery and my favorite 'simple' thing to make in a good Italian restaurant is a good large chicken parm. Well, I threw 1/2 out as it was tough cutting, and too damn chewy, not to mention stringy. It was way too thick. Almost slid off place as was so tough. I thought I'd keep simple. I get better chick parm st standard deli. I never had fried mozzarella, I was hungry and wanted tibtri it. Forget about it. What a waste. Simple mozzarella sticks were the right choice. The fried mozzarella terrible. Zero tase, just a waste. Our dog though, loved them. However, I also ordered apart Alfredo and was 5-stars. Just wonderful. I also ordered a garden salad and that too was excellent. Really terrific pasta Alfredo....I couldn't get enough. Loved it. Lastly some pieces of wrapped up stale bread, cake or something identifiable. Don't bother, stale and zero flavor. Again, very dissatisfied,,,our dog gave it a thumbs up. Would I go back...yes, yes, yes for the Alfredo pasta and garden salad with ( hopefully)...
Read moreWow. We saw the other 5-star reviews but weren't expecting too much. Was expecting more of a Chipotle or Cava-like experience but the fresh pasta at Al Dente was next level! You select the type of fresh pasta you want, pair it with a sauce and they whip it up fresh for you on the spot. The spaghetti with lemon garlic butter sauce was heavenly and as the name of the restaurant implies, perfectly al dente. The chicken parm and cavatelli with Alfredo were also 👌. The portion sizes are also gigantic. We also ordered some delicious wood-fired pizza from Luciano's next door which has a convenient pass through so you can order from both restaurants.
In addition to the yummy food, which comes with free fresh focaccia, the service was warm and attentive and the ambiance is modern and warm. The sun was in our eyes during the meal and one of the staff notuced right away and came over to roll down the shade for us. Very considerate. Thank you Al Dente!...
Read moreThe food and service was very poor, first time here we had two orders of penne al vodka to-go. It was ready twenty five minutes after the expected pick up time on a Sunday evening. So I had to wait there for over twenty minutes (45+ minutes after order was placed). This would of been fine as I understand it was busy and they may fall behind but my food was left sitting and no one was available to pack it for me until I interrupted the cook to get someone to assist.
If the food was good I would have been fine with all of this but the pasta was overcooked and the sauce seemed watery and lacked taste. We ended up throwing most of it out. The bread they gave us was packed with salt on top and was virtually inedible. Never seen bread with so much salt.
Waste of money and time. Could have made better pasta with grocery store sauce at home. Lesson learned....
