I deliver for a few of the food services. On the go, I often grab dinner here as I start my evening. I’ve worked as a chef for some years, but I’ve actually been a fan of the chain since high school (35 years ago)😂. Without question the Wethersfield location is the best in the entire region & yes, I’ve sampled them all. Newington is a close second. This franchise owner has great employees which, in fast food is critical. I tend towards simple sandwiches, but I have specific requests, which is what alway has put Burger King above all other fast food joints. . The Whoppers are hot with a nice grilled taste, & they always follow my instructions perfectly.
Chicken tenders are a key indicator of a fast food restaurant. The fry time is critical otherwise they come out dry & harsh. The fry oil is changed regularly in this store, which is also critical to flavor. Lots of places save money by not changing the oil often & all the fried items come out with a burnt taste. You’ve probably had some. Not at the Wethersfield location. Shakes are great, and I consider the $1.29 ice cream & sundae to be one of the great values anywhere, McD’s are double that price. Staff is friendly, not a bunch of burned out kids, which as you know, is a real downer of an experience. It’s super-clean as well. I think you’ll be...
Read moreIf I can give them a zero I would. I ordered a cloud slushy and after I order I tried to google the ingredients to make sure it didn’t contain dairy as some do and when I asked the employee an employee named Ivy told another employee “did you just heard what they asked” and made fun of me asking the question and added that she couldn’t wait to post it on Facebook. Well my son has a sever dairy allergy and some slushes do have dairy so I wanted to make sure before giving it to my son and basically killing him. I was being cautious not a stupid question. Clearly Ivy is ignorant regarding food allergies and should not be working in the food industry. She needs to educate herself regarding allergies and the severity of them. Clearly I didn’t give my son the slushy since I wasn’t sure but she was unprofessional and Immature in her behavior and comment. I hope corporate handles this matter...
Read moreI don't know about the food because I left without it. The cashier touched my fries after touching money and the manager told me it was company policy that it'd acceptable to handle money then food as long as it's on the outside. The only problem is her hand touched the fries. I wonder if they do that when food inspectors come. No thanks. Money is filthy. At a minimum, they should sanitize hands after handling money before touching food. Even if it is on the outside, their germs are on the container the person eating has to touch. The manager was rude because I requested a refund after telling him I expressed this concern before. They don't have to worry about my germ issues again. I won't be going back. It shouldn't be an issue anyway, but during cold and flu...
