Sunnyside Up — Restaurant in Weymouth

Crazy long wait time to order and get our food once we were seated, we basically waited for the entire restaurant to empty out before the food hit the table. My dish, just pancakes and eggs, was room temperature and pretty bland. Usually places load you up on home fries but this was like a large spoonful, kinda disappointing. The "loaded" upgrade for the homefries was cheese whiz, a large scoop of sour cream and some chives over 4 fork fulls of home fries. The Pancakes weren't hot enough to melt butter by the time they made it to the table. Just all around disappointing. This was my first time there, maybe it's usually better, I don't like giving negative reviews but I'm just being honest, about 90 minutes for an average priced, room temperature, bland meal. Very nice spot to grab breakfast. They make you feel like family as from the very first visit and will make you come back for more. I come here about once a month to enjoy their food and their company. Debbie is always there and is super kind. The food there is typical American faire with specials posted on the back wall. The pancakes are huge, and the eggs benedict plate is great too. Not too many frills involved, but is very cozy and make you feel at home. Bathroom is in the back and is small. The water gets very hot very fast...

Just incredible, how portions and quality of this food was. A ham and cheese omelette the size of a slice of bread and the ham pieces inside were the size of a baby pea. The home fries seemed to be reheated in a oven and dry. A slice of thick french toast $5.50, also seemed to be reheated, warm and like eating a wad of dough doused in cinnamon. I've driven by this place for years and always wanted to try it, never again. Just wondering if this is new ownership? If so the previous owner is no rolling in...
