The Mooring Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Weymouth

Came into town for a long weekend. Drove by this place a couple times and decided to catch a late dinner. The place was full and the bar was seated around. It still did not feel overly crowded. We were able to sit outside in their very simple back patio. Our server came out immediately and took a drink order gave us the rundown on local favs and left menus. We ordered a small pizza as an app which worked out great. The bruschetta pizza was very well done. The fresh mozz and the balsamic reduction gave it a great balance. Our server was super attentive with drink refills and got the dinner order taken in perfect time for the app delivery. Dinner came out quickly and left nothing to be desired. Fries were hot and crispy my burger was cooked exactly the way I ordered it. All parties were thrilled with their selection. First and last time, unfortunately! Was not sure about what smell was that but it did smell very funky in there. Lemonade was simply water, the starters were ready while the kitchen rang the bell 3x and we were looking at it, however it was a ok for the chicken tenders.What killed me was that I order the Blue Bridge Hamburger omg I was so ready to eat and for my surprise the “blue cheese” was literally… blue cheese dressing omg blue cheese dressing (the same we had with the chicken tenders we had before) that was the only “ taste of blue cheese” the burger had beyond disappointed with that! Gave one star because at least one of us was able to eat , the jalapeno burger which it was not bad! It may be the place for some but not me.Gave the tip because we all know how waiters don’t get paid well, however it was not good...

I hate to write bad reviews, but here goes. I used to come here a lot with my family, and it was a fantastic experience. But, last time I ordered takeout, it wasn’t the case. We got food poisoning with the seafood on just two items, and we had called them to let them know we’d like a refund on simply the two items(we had ordered more food).

Their response “we have to make an investigation and at this time we cannot issue one until we’ve seen to the matter”. Complete disregard to the inconvenience and discomfort their food had caused us and to the health of my father who’s elderly.

I don’t recommend this place, not for their food nor their respect...
