Moby Dick Sushi — Restaurant in Wheaton

Service is awful. My dad and I went to have dinner there and when the waitress said if we wanted anything to drink we said, "tap water." She said, "we dont have that. We only have bottled water." I said it was ok b/c I had two bottled waters on my purse. I asked if she had a cup with ice and she said, "we dont have ice." I lost it. They were being really stingy at that point. The manager came to me and said that maybe I should order take out instead. What kind of service is that? They have a buisness and arent treating the customers right. Im never coming here again. They are stingy, rude and the manager was worse. She didnt even try to offer a solution. She just told us to order carryout instead. Ive never experienced that in a restaurant before.....ever....

We usually travel to a place that's located just inside the D.C., but we went to Moby as it was very close to home. We had Tempura and a variety of Tuna sushi - about 10 different rolls altogether. The Tempura had more of a "doughy" coating, not panko. It wasn't "light." The Tuna rolls, each bite had a tough-ness - muscles not meat - not quality cuts of tuna. I do understand that sometimes a bite of tuna / sushi might be tough, but this was every piece! The price was about the same, and much closer to home, but the quality of the food was much different.

This is easily the best sushi i have had in ages. As a vegan i often struggle to find sushi that isn’t just an avocado roll or more than two items on the menu that i can eat. This place is packed with flavor and the service is also respectable and kind. The non vegan sushi was also soooo delicious. The one thing i think everyone should try is the crunchy spicy veggie roll. It was soo good i had to come back the next day to eat again. One of the best things i have ever eaten!!! I’m still thinking about it and about to order it after i leave this review. We started to dig in therefore the picture is somewhat eaten since we couldn’t stop ourselves as soon as we got the food on the table....
