
This review is related to my visit to this salon 1 week ago today. My concerns are related to my services I received and being overcharged.
First, when I called to make the appointment, I mentioned right away that I wanted a cut and color to ensure grey is covered etc.. for which I was told the charges would be $60.00 for the cut (which includes shampoo, I asked just to be sure and also during my last visit I got a cut which included shampoo and wrap all under this price) and $80.00 for color. Total approximately $140.00
While at the salon, I was assured the color service would take care of the grey coverage and we proceeded. Never was it mentioned this was an additional cost. More importantly to note, no other additional pricing was discussed other than the initial quote for services.
What I got was a cut and color nothing different from what I asked for except she styled my hair (I was fine with the styling and figured this would be the only additional cost, which I was willing to pay).
After being at the salon for about 4 hours, My services were finally completed, I went to settle my bill and was jolted into utter shock when I was told my bill was $235.00. For what??? A color, cut and style, OH MY.
I was all ready to pay what I was originally quote which was 80 and 60 which should have been 140 plus whatever the additional cost to style.
I was charged for grey coverage, highlights, shampoo, and wrap that came up to this obscene amount. Aside from being told the grey coverage would be included in the color service, I was charged for shampooing an wrapping, surely shampooing must be a requirement with cut and color services, right? I think not.
As a customer and knowing that this salon charge for services individually, that is why I ask for prices up front so that I am aware of what Iām expected to pay and I am not shocked when itās time to pay, and I can decide if I want to make an appointment at all. Pricing should not be kept a secret or be piled on after a customer arrives to your place of business. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I contacted the owner and she was very combative and argumentative about the situation trying to justify things. AS I mentioned to her, it would have been nice to know upfront pricing which is what I asked for before coming in. I will never patronize this business ever again based on their business practices and no concessions being made to correct their wrong and deceptive practices of piling on services and charges without the customer being aware....

Refreshments were offered, they took my jacket, and I was asked to fill out a questionnaire based on medical/hair product history. Thatās an important step but oft neglected by most salons. I was informed of costs ahead of time, but would recommend clients always inquire about any added service to avoid sticker shock. I was offered a free sample package and recommended products without feeling overly pressured to buy stuff I didnāt need. My chemical relaxer was done very thoroughly, and the shampoo, rinsing, drying, and styling was painless. Although Iām not ātender-headedā, the assistants were very gentle with my hair and scalp (the scalp massage was very relaxing). The service was very prompt, but not rushed to sacrifice quality; I left after only just under 2 1/2 hrs.
The assistants Astra and Nara who did my hair today did an excellent job, but the owner Ana Maria (spelling?) was nearby and very friendly too. I left the salon with exactly the hair style I was looking for. I could go on about the attention to detail, but this review is already long enough! Honestly, this is one of my best experiences ever going to a salon and I cannot recommend them any higher. I wish more salons would follow Edgeās customer service model. They were only a tad pricier than my last salon, but I felt like so far I received my moneyās worth. I hope they remain in business for...

Course..by being a new customer, I was nervous because of my prior dissatisfaction with my former salon which I had been attending over a year..but speaking with you, I was reassured by your genuineness . I felt like a valued customer the first time I spoke over the phone and walked in the door..Anna Maria took me literally by the hand and actually spoke to me about my hair goals, products and suggestions for the near future..The warmth by all of your stylist and extreme professionalism was a comfort including the music, warm towel, snacks and beverages provided..I felt more at ease and with encouragement ended up getting a "sexy " new hair cut . "I went out of the box"...and everyone loves it..especially my Fiance'..I was shown how to take care of my hair at night time and how to style it in the morning..I was also shown the products to use..Anna Maria was able to look at my hair and knew exactly what I needed to look more edgier..her words exactly. I had reservation but I trusted her truth fullness and confidence..My self esteem has been greatly restored..I have scheduled my next appt..I got my money's worth..I cant wait to take my hair out for a " Spin" š See you and Anna Maria in 2 more weeks..
