The oven was going strong, the toppings were solid, and the service was good. But the key of fire oven pizza is the perfect dough. Unfortunately, the dough was not their fancy oven worthy. It was too much cornmeal in the dough which made it dry and bitter. Hope they fix the dough!
Edited after the owner's response: I maybe wrong with the cornmeal, but the crust was such a disappointment. We're a huge pizza lover and had pizza from all over the places and we said we won't come back. The price is reasonable, toppings were fresh, and the service was great. It's just the crust that is not working with your fire oven. I know the difference between burned mark and dry crust. We've had pizza from Italy and authentic Italian restaurants. This is not the same kind of crust. If you like d'agostino's or Bonta, this is not your place.
You asked me to give you a better review not to hurt small business. I positively review plenty of small businesses and I always prefer small businesses over big box companies. I am giving my honest opinion about food. The service and atmosphere was very good, but not food. Plus, how do you know I am a small business owner? It creeped me out when you mention that. Does that mean you went out and search who I am? Owner's response like this...

They also have pre-assembled pizza boxes all over by the drink station, which makes sense, but when another customer tried to take a large one and a small one for to-go boxes, the pizza maker told him he could only take the small boxes.
The place smelled like very strongly perfumed cleaning products and it would have been off-putting if I had chosen to eat there. It smelled more like a cover-up product than a cleaning product.
The pizza was fine, but very sparsely topped. I was supposed to get two toppings so I ordered 2x pepperoni, but I only got one or two pieces per slice.
The people were nice, but I think they are eventually going to nickel and dime themselves out of business. I, for one, won't...
