EDIT: We revisited for dinner last night and it was pretty sad. My bbq chicken breast was cooked with no seasoning whatsoever and thin watery bbq sauces poured over top. The vegetable wild rice was tasty, with a little tiny piece of bread I received with my meal did not compliment the plate at all. Hubby got the "special" which was a fish sandwich and mac and cheese. Again the fish was cooked with zero seasoning, not even salt and pepper, and the bread was just thin floppy white bread not even toasted. The very small piece of fish was broken up and arranged on the bread. The tartar sauce had very little flavor except for onion, and the noodles in the mac and cheese were overcooked and the cheese was then like water. Service wasn't bad, and our server was very friendly. There was a weird musty smell in the building, that almost smelled like wet carpet. A huge difference from the first time we visited Uncle Pete's, and no real desire to go back unfortunately.

Original Review: Hubby and I found this little gem by lucky chance. Food was very tasty, menu had a decent variety but wasn't overwhelming. Hubby and I both had an entree, an extra side, a drink, and one appetizer to share, and our bill came to just around $41. The prices we're very fair, service was good and the staff was friendly. Floors and tables were clean upon entering and the dining room was spacious. The bathrooms were absolutely gorgeous, very clean, and each large "stall" being like a small private bathroom in itself, containing a toilet, vanity sink, sitting chair and a mirror of its own. Lots of parking and easy to find via Google maps. Highly recommend, we will...

I will never go back there again. This was my first time trying it since they got a new location and they should have just stayed closed. It took about 30 minutes to be seated even though there were plenty of open tables. Then it took almost 10 minutes for our server to greet our table and take our drink order. Then it took about another 10 minutes to get our drinks and for her to ask if we were ready. We put in the order for the kids because we hadn't decided yet. It took about 15-20 minutes for the kids to get their food and in all that time our server never once came to check on us to see if we were ready to order. After we finally ordered our food it took at least 35-45 minutes to get it and we only saw our server once when she gave us drink refills. She checked on us about 10 minutes after we got our food then didn't come back to see if we wanted anything else for about another 20 minutes even though she walked by our table multiple times and could see we were done eating. The food was just ok l got the grilled chicken sandwich and the bread was stale and extremely crunchy. The chicken was bland and didn't seem cooked properly in places. The gravy with the fries was very salty. The only decent food was the grilled cheese off the kids menu. Even the chips were gross and the pickle was dry and had no juice whatsoever. Overall the food was not worth the wait or the price which was astronomical for what we ordered. If I could give this zero stars I would and will never recommend them to anyone which is such a disappointment because they used to be an...

It always smells like fish. The ventilation system is terrible. We go to restaurants all the time and none of them smell like that. Even seafood restaurants don't smell like that, but if Uncle Pete's has a fish special the entire restaurant stinks. Before I start, no they weren't understaffed. If you have a party of more than 6 you should be able to reserve a table. We, a group of 4 kids and 6 adults waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for a table (got there at 5:30 and we were seated at 6:45). We know they have the one giant round table straight back, but why wouldn't they push 2 tables together on either side of that table to seat us like I've seen them do many times?! I finally told them we were leaving and they found an empty booth and 2 tables right next to each other right next to the giant round table. We were really annoyed. It seemed like someone should have stepped in and told them to stop seating groups of 4 (they seated 4 groups of 4 at tables) and put 2 tables together. I walked through and saw they were seating people at tables before us eventually they arrived probable 45 minutes after us. Our party was a group of 3 families and we probably won't be back for a long time. We didn't order what we wanted because we just wanted to get out of there. If we hadn't had kids with us we would've left. My husband had a BBQ chicken sandwich and said it wasn't good. I had a Philly cheese steak, it was just ok, the children had grilled cheese, chicken tenders and a sandwich. The Reuben was the best thing we had at the table. We were more than...

What a hidden Gem! Our waitress was fantastic, the food was fabulous. Pictured is appetizers, chicken strips and deep fried mashed potatoes with onion. Which just has a hint of onion flavor. Both crunchy and yummy! Dinners pictured are stuffed fish (cod stuffed with crab meat), full rack of ribs which are better than Rudy's in Springfield, Ohio, great smoky flavor and just the right amount of sweet barbecue and Porterhouse sub with mushrooms. Also Fries with bacon and cheese. Everything was piping hot, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is relaxed and Quant with room for waiting, which we didn't and games for the kids to enjoy. The restrooms are spacious with 3 separate large stall rooms inside the facility. Bar seating with plenty of room to eat and chat. The floor plan leaves ample space between tables so you aren't sitting on top of your neighbors. Great food and very nice atmosphere for date night, family gatherings or friends night out. Absolutely recommend this hidden gem! July 7, 2022 The food is still fabulous and the service superb. I don't usually mention restrooms but theirs are super clean and look like they should be in a magazine. Rich looking oak double sink in the main area and each "stall" is it's own room with individual sinks and 2 with chairs.

This is a quaint placed that is enjoyed by the locals. But the food is mediocre at best. To his was the second time in 3 months, it didn't get better. I thought it was just not a good day, or not as best choice for the menu. On the first visit, the waitress was helpful. We asked about a couple soup choices, Lobster bisque or Stuffed pepper. Shf said a lot of people order the LB but she said the SP soup was better. And she was right. Our group ended up ordering one of each, the LB was gross. Second visit, I thought stick with simple, thf lunch special was chili dog and fries. It wasn't horrible. But the chili was cheap canned flavor. The fries were Ok. Both trips , our guest ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, described as a spaghetti sandwich. The chicken is scant and lacks flavor. If you want spaghetti, & bread just order spaghetti and garlic bread. I don't know how they're still in business but I guess it's a local taste. Don't say you weren't warned.
