Renee's Cold Cut Hut — Restaurant in White Haven

Passed through White Haven on my way up north and was in the mood for a shop. Renee’s has that quintessential Mom & Pop feel to it. It feels like your home, or at a friend’s house. It’s inviting. Who I presume to be Renee had our sandwiches ready in 10 minutes. The quality of the meats, cheeses, and bread were exceptional. I got the Italian and my girlfriend got a turkey sub with American. We ate in front on the Delaware & Hudson train near the community garden. Renee’s closes at 3 and there’s a sign inside that says the slicer is turned off 15 minutes before closing. Shortly after 2:45, I saw a man walked up to the front door only to see him realize it was locked. He took a few steps back, then Renee opened the door and invited him in. Normally great place to go to. Till today. Today ON THE WAY there 3 huge pieces of snow from the top of my jeep suddenly came down and on Mt windshield. I was lucky to make it to my location safely. When I got there I cleaned off the remaining with my bate hands in the street not the business. An assistant yelled hey about how she cleaned it. Well my safety and my life is more important than if you just cleaned it. And what if it snows again goung to yell at mother nature. Nice way to treat a loyal customer instead in of talking to me nicely about it. I had a reason because it just happened on my way there. I cleaned my jeep off as much as I could yesterday just couldn't reach the middle...

We took the bike train from Jim Thorpe and ordered 4 sandwiches in the morning. Our food was ready when we got there and all sandwiches were prepared correctly. They come with a nice sized bag of chips and bottle of water which is nice to have during the ride.

The women working at the window were very friendly and fun to talk to. It is clear they like what they do and like each other.
