White Haven section reopened 2023 with major upgrades. The boat launch area was greatly expanded to accommodate the vendor whitewater rafting excursions and still leave room for individuals to launch their crafts. The major entrance of off rt 940. another way in is along-side the strip mall downtown. The bicycle rental shop is here. If you want to bike all the way to Jim Thorpe, they will pick you up there. The new unisex bathrooms have another great feature. They are large enough to bring your bike inside with you.

Wow, what a great job by DCNR and the Delaware Lehigh National Heritage commission. They took a parking lot that was all gravel and paved it, put nice restrooms in. Also ,they built a commercial boat launch and a kayak launch for individuals. It's nice to be able to say the state did...
