Walked in with no wait time for seating, food arrived quickly, and the woman who greeted us and our waitress were both amazing. Wonderfully sweet ladies.
However, that's the only reason for the three stars. The food itself was not impressive, and we left feeling disappointed after we had gone in with such high hopes.
The website showed a picture of steak, which was not on the menu at all. There is also a large smoker out front and the decor is very southern, but my husband and I were informed that only one item is actually prepared on the smoker... and they do not serve southern staples such as sweet tea or green beans.
No big deal, we got over that easily enough.
Tried the Cheeseburger Rolls for an appetizer, but neither of us were a fan of it. Personal preference, I suppose.
My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, but only managed a couple of bites. I tried it, too. The flavor was... off. It was almost as if it had been fried with old grease. We were told that was not the case, but it definitely didn't taste great.
I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger, which came with a side of fries. The fries were room temperature and pretty basic, but they didn't taste particularly fresh. The burger wasn't exactly terrible, but there was a heavy "burned bacon" flavor.
The staff was incredibly sweet throughout the entire meal and I felt too terrible to complain about the burger, since we already had an issue with the appetizer and my husband's food. Maybe we just caught them on...
Read moreA bit disappointed. We were excited to try it out because they've looked busy since they opened. It bothered me that almost every table had a different set of chairs, but I can understand that for now because they're just starting up. We ordered the chips and queso and also their nachos for appetizers. Chips and queso were excellent, but their menu didn't mention sour cream coming on the nachos. My boyfriend doesn't like sour cream, but he worked around it. We both ordered the bacon cheeseburgers. I was looking forward to it because I haven't had a burger with bacon on it in years, but when they came out they were both missing the lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles like it was listed on the menu. I wanted to try the Tejano fries, but they said they couldn't substitute them for my side. The regular fries were still good. I found it odd that none of the tables had any salt, pepper, ketchup, etc. and when we asked for ketchup they gave us a tiny amount on the side. I'm big on condiments, so that was disappointing. I wasn't even able to get through half my fries with what little they gave me. We feel like our meal was a bit pricey for what we ordered. Our waiter was very nice and checked on us often, so there's that. The atmostphere was nice as well and I thought the bar area looked great. We probably won't be going back, but I'd encourage everyone to at least try it once before...
Read more10/28, We came in here to have food and drinks and watch the Rangers in the world series. We were having a great time enjoying the atmosphere our waiter was amazing. We ordered around of shots for everybody at the table and we all took our drink and my date pull something out of her mouth and it was a dead fly. Told the waiter the waiter went and told the bartender the bartender then told I guess the either manager or the owner. He comes over to the table and he flat out tales my date that he does not believe her whatsoever that this fly came out of their drinks. Now we have no reason to lie or even to cheat, but to come to our table and call us a liar when she literally pulled the fly out of her mouth and put it in the cup. Also the drinks pretty expensive, they classify Deep eddies vodka as top shelf?! Now our waiter Joshua was amazing if you want to have a great time this man should be your waiter. This is our second time coming here our first time it was really great The second time wasn't all that great My experience if you're going to go there don't drink just eat their...
