I went for lunch at 12:45. I was the only customer. I took a booth and ordered a âtrain wreckâ which consists of beef, hot link, onion and jalapeños all chopped up on a sandwich. I asked the waitress to have the hot link on the side. When she returned, she said the owner couldnât do that because it would be like ordering a beef sandwich and a hot link. I told her I wasnât wanting more meat, I just wanted whatever amount of hot link that was normally put on the sandwich to be put on the side. She went back and then the owner came out. He said heâd never done that before (Iâve eaten there a half dozen times and always order the same thing without issues). He reiterated, âif you want a beef sandwich with a hot link on the side, you can order that, but you canât get the âtrain wreckâ with the hot link on the side. He seemed to be getting flustered at this point. I thought to myself, Why is this so difficult? I then said. Ok. Put the hot link on the sandwich, just donât chop it up, then I can take it off the sandwich myself and eat it separately. He again refused and said, âI donât do it that wayâ. I honestly couldnât believe he wouldnât accommodate such a simple request. After a brief awkward moment of silence, I said, âNever mind thenâ, and walked out. The way I see it, if Iâm paying $14 for a plate of food, I should have the liberty to have it served however I choose. Iâll...
Read moreWorst BBQ I've had in Tyler. Took absolutely forever to order. The owner was making his daughter run the register and you could tell she didn't want to be there. We sat down with our drinks and I watched the "pit master" take his sweet freaking time to "bother" with our orders. I literally saw my brisket and ribs taken out of a "warmer", unwrapped, and then sit on his prep station for at least 5 minutes while he walked off. Finally came back, cut our portions, plated and then put it in a ridiculous and pretentious window for his daughter to then pick up and bring to us. We were the ONLY two people in there at the peak of lunch (12:30) on a Tuesday.
To say this guy is full of himself is an understatement.
The BBQ portions simply sucked. Very very very little meat for the price. Ribs and brisket were both cold, dry and flavorless. Better sauce could be bought at Walmart. The sides aren't even worth reviewing.
This place spent more money on their absurd decorations and build out and fancy kitchen and none on quality BBQ...
Read moreI arrived at Rib Town and ordered one BBQ chopped brisket sandwich & a drink. There were 2 people ahead of me. TWENTY FIVE MINUTES later, I went and told the cashier I HAD to leave because I was going to be late to work. She said âyour order should be next.â I said âI cannot wait any longer. I am going to be late getting back to work.â
I am new to Whitehouse, and saw this place when I ran to Brookeshire's one day. The first time, it was GREAT. I ordered a baked potato with chopped brisket. It was ready within 5 minutes. The food was delicious.
I am BEYOND disappointed with todayâs experience. I had to go back to work with nothing but a drink after I paid over $15.
The brisket is precooked. I highly doubt they are making the buns while someone waits, so I am pretty sure the buns are pre-made as well. What in the world took over TWENTY FIVE MINUTES? I havenât even had to wait that long at Texas Roadhouse or a real âsit downâ restaurant.
I will not return, and will tell every teacher & staff member at my school...
