El Jalisciense Taco Shop — Restaurant in Whitehouse

As a white guy with South Texas ties and speaking on behalf of my equally white buddy but with Houston ties (we know our south of the border food!), I’m here to tell you that I am now looking forward to my next trip Tyler (live in DFW these days) in large part for the surprisingly great food here. FINALLY a good restaurant in that building!! The food was so good that on a 2 day trip we ate here 3 times. The food is a perfect mix of authentic Mexican food and Tex-Mex, the service was wonderful, and the restaurant was clean and orderly. Me and my wife decided to give this place a try since we saw a lot of good reviews and it was just as good as it sounds. Let me start with how welcoming the server was, we didn’t get her name but she help us with drinks all the way to choosing a desert, we’re a lil bit picky on how our food is made and she didn’t hesitated to take her time to explain the meals. I had el jaliscience taco shop for the first time after trying their food truck and realizing it was amazing. I went for dinner with my wife and I had the shrimp taco plate can’t even describe the flavors in my mouth everything was so delicious from the chips and salsa to the agua Fresca of strawberry and lemon, my wife had the green enchilada plate with agua de horchata and she loved it as-well !
