Went in about half an hour before closing. They were out of a few things, which was fine. Told the young lady we were going to stay and eat. Kind of felt like we were putting her out by being there. Again it was half an hour to close. The BBQ was already made as were the sides. We had more than enough time to eat. I'm a tea drinker and half way through my meal she dumps all the tea. Didn't ask if i wanted more. I don't think she cared, she was going to have that place closed at 8 and that was that. I get starting your closing duties especially when there's only a few people in the restaurant clean the tables, put the chairs up, but don't start putting away or throwing away things that customers might still want, because whether she likes it or not, the place she works is open until 8:00. Which means I should be able to sit there and enjoy my meal and everything that comes along with it until 8:00. PS. They were still technically open for 12 minutes by the time I left so I wasn't even bumping up on her locking that door. I wish we could give them more than 5 stars!! My husband and I were in Tyler for work and we stopped by for our first meal in Tyler. Myyyy goodness!!!! We were offered a rib to sample. That sealed the deal. We ordered a 4 meat plate and a BBQ potato. There was so much food we could make three meals out of our order. Portions were huge. The ribs fell off the bone and the meat was the best we’ve had. We travel a lot for work and we are native Texans so I don’t use that term generously. It was the BEST ribs we’ve ever had. The customer service was top notch. They were friendly and welcoming and downright GOOD people. I ended up ordering a blackberry cobbler to go and ate it at the hotel and it was as good as my great grandma’s cobbler. I haven’t eaten cobbler as good as her since the 80’s. I wish we could pack this place up and take it back to Houston with us. When you travel a lot for work, meals just become routine, average, ”same ol, same ol” but not this place. I do not reveiw restuarants I have neither the time or reason. This establishment chenges that. Im from Massachusetts driving through this little town I dont remember, thats when I ate the kost incredible thing I have ever had. I paid very little money and sonehow lwft with wnough food to feed Russia and it was absalutley delicious . Customer service was 5 stars. Food was 5million stars.
