Last night was date night with the wife and we decided to try somewhere we’ve never been and we couldn’t be more happier that we did. We ended up making the short drive to whitehouse to try La Hacienda Tex Mex Grill. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and instantly shown to a table. Our waitress Emma took our drink order and came back within a minute with our waters. Another gentleman came by and dropped off some chips and salsa. We asked Emma for their spinach queso because it just sounded amazing for our appetizer. We jumped right in to the chips and salsa. The chips were nice and salted and still warm. The salsa itself was good, although a bit more on the tomato-y (not a word) side, which is something I don’t typically prefer. However, I still tore it up lol. Shortly after, our spinach queso arrived and that’s when we placed our order. I got the Pollo Margarita (A grilled, lime pepper chicken breast and a cheese enchilada topped with queso. Served with rice & pico) and my wife got the Taco Salad Supreme (Homemade flour tortilla shell filled with ground beef, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and topped with sour cream). She also added avocado to hers. While we waited for our food, we got an opportunity to try the spinach queso. I can honestly say it was incredible. You can definitely taste the spinach, but it wasn’t over powering. The queso itself had a very smooth texture and it was still very warm. We both thoroughly enjoyed it (I basically cleaned the bowl) haha. Our entrees came out in perfect timing. Maybe 10-15 minutes after ordering them. I gave the first bite of the chicken to my wife and I could tell from her reaction that I was about to enjoy it myself. The chicken had soooo much flavor in the best way possible. It was incredibly juicy and you could easily cut it with a fork. See the picture below of the cross section to see how juicy it was. My dish came with a cheese enchilada topped with queso. I loved it!!! I ever tore the rice up. I tried a bite of my wife’s and I enjoyed hers as well. The ground beef was seasoned to perfection and the outer shell couldn’t have possibly been cooked any better. It was something I wouldn’t typically order myself, but I still liked it a lot. We decided on 2 desserts. The tres leches cake and the apple tart. The tres leches was very moist and sweet. I’d easily put it up there with some of the top tres leches that I’ve had. The Apple tart was also amazing. It was basically apples mixed with some type of filling, nestled in a perfectly cooked pastry, topped with some vanilla bean ice cream. The Carmel drizzle on top was just what it needed. I absolutely loved the contrast between the cold ice cream and the warm flaky pastry. I’m personally not a fan of chunks of fruit in anything (personal preference), but I picked around and still enjoyed it. The service from Emma was excellent. She stopped by multiple times to check on us and kept our drinks refilled, as well as another lady stopping by and asking if we needed anything. I even had a chance to speak with the manager/owner (I’m not quite sure). His name was Eli and he very kind and you could instantly tell he cared about what he was doing. The interior reminded me of a typical Mexican restaurant and I don’t mean that in a bad way at all. They also had a beautiful patio that was lit up nicely. If it wasn’t so cold, I would have definitely chose to sit out there. I highly recommend La Hacienda to anyone looking for some good Tex Mex. I even hear they have an amazing chicken fried steak special on fridays for $10 or something like that (that’s what my mom told me).

Amazing spot! We got to work with Kim as our server and she was ON IT! Drinks were never low, we never had to flag her down, she was personable and sweet, double checked orders to make sure everything was solid, and had great recommendations over the menu. We had the burrito dinner, enchilada dinner, and the queso with ground beef - phenomenal food. Everything was served really quickly and good and hot. We officially found our new date spot!

I am a vegetarian for medical reasons and often don't find a great deal to eat at most places. I got the biggest plate of veggie fajitas ever. It was delicious. Just for the record, my husband got chicken fajitas and even he had leftovers to take home!

I gave 2 stars for the fact that the food is decent...but the servers. Woooowwww the bus boy(george) worked harder than them he brought my drinks and chips he was serving me more then anyone else when my server did arrive Id mention his mame but he didnt introduce himself blonde hair had a pony tail...didnt work very hard There was one waitress literally dragging her feet around saying she was tired and gasping constantly you could tell she did not like her job if i owned the establishment i would fire her. She has a flowered apron and a tattoo on the top of her right with hoop earrings. I wish i could give more stars just based on George but its hard to do. I hope you as a owner read this and make some changes and get George some help or give him a raise for doing more...

My family and I have Eaten here for years. Today we received the worst possible service ever. Not only did we not eat or food we took it to go the whole experience was horrible. I spoke to someone that was in charge the waitress was horrible and was rude to my child when I found this out I called back up there and spoke to someone the waitress that waited on our table is not very experienced even though she has worked there for a while the owner needs to be made aware of this she needs to be dismissed and fired our family will never eat here again. No one ever needs to speak to someone’s child in that manner. We have never had a problem before but trust me we will never eat...
