Donut Shop — Restaurant in Whiteville

I absolutely love this place! Basic, but Good, down home cooking. They have pretty much anything you'd want. Wonderful selection as they have an extensive menu. I like their daily lunch specials. The pork chop lunch special is my favorite and they know how to fry a porkchop, let me tell ya! Everything they serve is wonderful. Great fast and friendly service. I always come here and love their food. Some of the best sandwiches around, especially their egg salad sandwich. They make a very good egg salad, which you can't find on really any other restaurants menu around here. They also have really good Philly steak. I could go on and on about what's good here, but honestly everything on their menu is great. Prices are very reasonable, especially their lunch specials that includes a side and a drink. It was early and I was really thinking about a popular chain to have breakfast however I saw the sign for Donut Shop. The first lady I saw walking to taking out trash I stopped to ask her if yeast donuts or not. I was hoping yes because I love yeast donuts. She was so sweet to go and check. She quickly let me know yes. I ordered my food and the nice lady gave me a nice soft upsell suggestion to try loaded hash browns so I did upgrade my order. I ordered two yeast donuts, one cream cheese donut and donut holes and apple fritters. Most were also upsells from nice lady. Unfortunately the apple fritters were gone. However my food was hot and delicious! The donuts were AMAZING! Especially the cream cheese donut!! Hands down one of the best I ever had. I have been going by here day after saying I need to stop and I never did, until a few days ago! So glad I did. I was greeted by the most friendly folks I’ve ever met, made me want to stay and eat inside, but I did not have time. I wanted to try their donuts I heard they were really good, but unfortunately I was a bit late and they did not have much of a selection, but what I was able to get was delicious! I owe it to myself to get their earlier before they get wiped out and also a bit fresher. I can’t imagine how much better they would be, but I’m sure off the hook!
