Keep away from this restaurant. Please read the entire review. The cook was beating our frozen porterhouse steaks on a stainless steel table in an attempt to separate them. When he couldn't beat them apart, I watched him throw them across the kitchen into a sink. I asked the young lady at the register if he was going to cook those steaks? She said "No they are no good he won't cook them". To which I wondered why make a huge scene trying to break them apart if they are "no good"? A few minutes later I saw him running water over them and then holding them against his filthy shirt and trying to pry them apart with his bare hands. I am not exaggerating it was crazy how he was behaving with our frozen steaks. We were with friends who already had their food. They said it was cold and couldn't eat it because it was just disgusting. The salad bar was old and there was no lettuce. We left and asked for our money back. Believe me when I tell you it was that bad. We looked for the sanitary rating and could not find it posted anywhere. This was a Saturday around 5 or 6 pm and the place was empty except for us a 2 other tables. Oh the cubed ham at the salad bar was brown also. There was much more than I care to go into like how everyone except the highschool age kids working there looked high on pain pills. The manager was about to fall asleep while we were complaining. Oh my God you just can't understand how unbelievably crazy it was in there. The restaurant is filthy also the cook was filthy and everyone over 18 years old was high on something. How you gonna be falling asleep while I'm telling you your dirty cook was beating my steak on the counter like a caveman? Every review that says the food is good or great is fake. It's so bad that it might actually be worth a trip there just to see how awful it is. If you go, record everything...

First time here. I googled local restaurants and wanted to support a small business.

Found the name and it reminded me of the old Western Sizzilin that was popular in the 70s and 80s. Stopped in and found more that I expected. They also had a buffet bar.

I really wanted an old fashioned steak and baked potato but I opted for the bar. There was a small salad bar and a hot bar.

The hot bar has a small mixing of vegetables and meats. I got the fried fish and shrimp. It was edible but not hot, barely warm. The vegetables were good. I got some mashed potatoes and some stew meat that was really good.

Saw some steaks that others ordered and I should have ordered that. They looked amazing and just what I wanted when I came in.

I actually left and found a nearby bakery for dessert. Honestly what they had on the bar looked inedible and they don't have ice cream like you find at most buffets. They had one dessert unless they just put it out, no one was touching.

Sign by the register said Bar as is at 2 so if you want a buffet get in before 2. They take cards but offer a 4% discount for cash. The 4% is the cc fee so not really a discount just not paying for the fee.

One waitress, very friendly acted like she knew everyone. Got refills without asking which is always a plus in my book. And she waited until my mouth was empty before asking questions....

Had dinner there recently and got the buffet for three for total of $35. There wasn't lettuce for the salad bar, no chicken on the bar and waited until almost done before there was more ready. By that time we were all so disgusted by how bad all the other food we got was that NONE of us wanted any of it. Hush puppies were overlooked and hard. Fried squash was not edible and gross. Ham tasted rotten and was rubbery. Turkey and mashed potatoes had no flavor. Shrimp looked good but were rubbery and gross. The only good thing was banana pudding but I guess it's pretty hard to screw that up. Ceiling was leaking through middle of dining area from the AC, and large area of black mold were present on the ceiling near the AC vents/return. I don't know how this place doesn't get shut down by the health department but the whole experience was bad and none of us could really eat anything and it was horrible we paid $35 for two adults and a child to eat basically nothing. We will NEVER go back having learned a hard lesson with our money. Shameful this place is still in operation and that people eat there, it's just awful!
