Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q — Restaurant in Whiteville

I don’t typically write reviews but I must say this place was incredible! We were passing through on Thursday, heading to SC from NY and are a very large family of 7, right down to having a cranky toddler and the moment we stepped into this place was just like going to your favorite aunt Betty’s house! The staff was so friendly! It was super clean! Like you could legit eat off the floor - I personally wouldn’t…but you could lol and our favorite part was a gentleman (Savage - which my boys thought was the coolest name ever haha!!) came over and chatted with us and had us laughing away like we been friends for years! Again, I don’t typically write reviews - I have 5 kids that never let me get a moment of peace! But I just HAD to write this one! Update #3, gave them another try this time using the gift card I was sent. Went into the store and was greeted by a very nice young lady. The sandwiches were a good bit larger this time and of course they tasted great. Thank you Smithfield’s for caring about your customers! Update #2.. the district manager was very nice and apologized for the service and sent me a gift card. I gave them a 2 but to be fair they are just opening. My order was missing food. I live 25 miles away and didn't check my food until I got home. So long story short they made some free money because I didn't have almost half of my order. I ordered the tailgate, added 2 Brunswick stews, and 4 extra pieces of chicken. They put the chicken in separate small containers, I'm not sure why because Lumberton's restaurant has the proper boxes. Anyway the chicken came out about 3 mins to early. It was rubbery and not completely cooked. I know they have a strict code for employees maybe they should focus some of that attention on training those employees to cook properly before opening 🤔.
