Sue's Diner — Restaurant in Whiteville

Came here for the first time with my wife today. I could tell immediately that we found the local hot spot. There was three officers finishing breakfast and the place was hoping! Everyone the came in was greeted by name by Miss Sue as well as other customers. Terrific atmosphere. Now for the food, it was absolutely amazing. Had bacon, eggs, grits and biscuits with gravy, they were wonderful. Inhaled all of that food with a giant smile on my face. Miss Sue, the owner, is the lone server and she does an excellent job taking orders, answering phones, getting food out and topping off beverages, plus she is a very sweet lady. Terrible. The only thing which was good was the coffee. I wanted some pancakes and received a child’s portion! Three very small pancakes and one dry sausage patty which tasted very similar to scrapple. This can’t be the best breakfast in town, come on! The other thing that turned me off was the waitress was wearing a mask (Covid is over) and plastic eating utensils, plastic plate and styrofoam cup. I felt like I was camping. Not enjoyable at all and I was still hungry...

One of the best spots in town. Sue is a hardworking woman who thrives on making her establishment feel like home and knowing her clientele like family. The food is southern style and is DELICIOUS! Not to mention that the prices are super affordable. The daily special is $6.50. You can't beat that for a good, home-cooked meal!
