Bodeau’s Haitian Seafood Soulfood Cuisine — Restaurant in Whitney

One of the best meals I've ever had.

My friends and I stopped in the other day after a local expo to check this place out, having most of us enjoyed Haitian cuisine for years. Bar none, this was some of the best I've ever had. Not only was the fish super fresh and incredibly seasoned, and the oxtails fall of the bone tender, but the attentive staff alone quickly made this restaurant one we will be returning to often. It's super rare I find a place that actually sells whole fish, but lemme just say that the snapper alone is worth checking this place out. It's perfectly cooked and flaky, with a delicious breading and seasoning all topped with a delicious mix of peppers and onions. The red sauce the ox tails came is was also the best I've ever eaten.

A couple of my friends got the shrimp and while I didn't personally try them, both recommend them highly and I can say that the size of the shrimp alone makes it a great bang for your buck.

While the location is small, it's homey and comfortable and really adds to that home cooked comfort food feel that the overall meal gives and the staff were so kind and always checking on the table, making sure we were enjoying ourselves and the food.

I'd also love to highlight the beans and rice and fried plantains that came with most of the meals as they were absolutely delicious. Seriously, I would gladly order an extra plate of the plantains specifically if it was an option.

Definitely will be going back as it's now one of our favorite new spots and will be recommending to others. So glad we found this little slice of heaven by pure chance. If you want some really great, authentic Haitian fare, check this place out immediately. You...

03/25/2022: DELICIOUS! DELECTABLE! ADDICTING! An amazing gem of a find. Bodeau's Caribbean Cuisine, Hattian, and Soul Food prepared the best authentic, freshest, made from scratch, perfectly portioned seasoned food we have had since relocating a few years ago to Las Vegas. Worth every dime. Unfortunately, greed took us over before the idea of taking pictures. The red snapper was huge and perfectly prepared (with the best homemade tartar sauce ever), large succulent fried shrimp, the baked macaroni was cheesy, creamy with big tender noodles.

The beautiful Queen K' greeted us with a big smile and friendly welcome. We left feeling loved like we just hung out with a second Cousin LOL!! Thank you for the top-quality customer service and care. Exceptionally clean and cozy restaurant. We are excited to return again and again to try everything on the menu. See you tomorrow BCC.

4/8/2022: Once again the staff was welcoming and helpful. Customer service was over-the-top. Being able to call in your order for pick-up is such a wonderful time saver. Thank you for that benefit too. My order was twenty lemon pepper chicken wings (half wet, half dry). Large meaty drumettes and flats were seasoned and cooked just right. Two crispy moist oversized golden stuffed patties, one chicken one beef and more delicious mac and cheese. Serving portions are large enough to fill any hungry foodie.

We ordered a medium Oxtail plate and a side of French fries. The flavor of the oxtail just melts in your mouth. The meat tears softly off the bone, effortlessly. We had two servings of the oxtail with the delicious rice and beans. The plate normally comes with plantains, but we requested to have it removed due to my allergies to bananas. Kerby politely replaced it with seasoned cabbage that paired so well with the meat and rice. The plate was shared between my girlfriend and I for a late lunch after attending a koi fish show. The French fries were amazingly delicious, they were evenly seasoned and fried to a crisp. It’s hard to find crispy and well seasoned French fries that aren’t soft and wilted. These fries were perfect. We spent about $30 with tip and enjoyed the full service care Kerby provided us. We will always come back here for her food.

We ordered before going next door to the vape shop and returned to wait on our food. Kerby freshly prepares her food daily, the food is always perfectly portioned for to go orders and dine in options. There are tables and chairs setup to allow for dine in service.
