Golden Sea Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Whitpain Township

The reason I give it a one star is due to the fact the older Chinese lady at the register is RUDE as well as the staff. I have gotten takeout many times. The older Chinese lady does not know or seem to care that when people walk into the restaurant that she should acknowledge them with a hello. She will stay on the phone taking orders ignoring the people waiting in the lobby to pick up their takeout. The last time I was there, I had called in my order. I waited 20 minutes in the lobby waiting for the older Chinese lady to ring me through. I along with 4 other women waited and waited while she took phone orders, played with the kids and never once did she say hello to any of us or say she will be with us shortly. THEN after waiting 20 minutes, a guy comes in and one of the waiters asks him what was his takeout number. They had the nerve to get his order, ring him through while me and the 4 other women were ignored. I understand the Chinese culture is sexist, but if you are going to have a restaurant in the US you better learn quickly that women are equal to men and not to treat them as second class citizen. I said to the waiter and the older Chinese lady that me and the 4 other women were waiting for our orders and the guy had just gotten there. They totally ignored me which really PISSED ME OFF. I again told them that we had been waiting and they looked at me as if had 2 heads and never apologized or said a thing. I will never go to Golden Sea. The least they could have done was acknowledge us and apologized to us for making us wait. Will never go to Golden Sea. Their customer service has got to be...

We ordered three main dishes and appetizers including egg rolls and wonton soup as take out. We spent $86 for the food and had to throw away two of the main dishes (about $32 worth) because we couldn't eat them. Two of the main dishes were supposed to have chicken but not sure what was in there because it didn't look like chicken or smell like chicken.

I called the restaurant to ask what they could do about it and he told me the owner was in California. The owner would be back the following week. I asked to speak with a manager and he said there wasn't anyone to speak too. How can you run a restaurant without someone in charge? That is just bad business policy.

The food was over priced for the quality. I have had way better Chinese food. We will never eat here again. I don't usually post anything negative about restaurants but I felt I needed to about this particular one. For poor service and poor...

ROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!FYI anyone who lives in the blue bell area. Joe and I went to GOLDEN SEA CHINESE restaurant tonight. They served us those crispy fried noodles with a little something extra...a ROACH fried on to it!!!!!! This place has been rated "best of philly" a few years in a row. We were absolutely disgusted as you can imagine we confronted the staff as they were bringing our ordered food to the table. I said "there is a roach in our food...is this normal? Do you have roaches in your kitchen??" She and the other waitress look at each other and shrug like...well yes. No apologies!! Lol. I can't even!!!!!!! They were shocked that we did not want our food and left. Good food doesn't always mean a clean kitchen!!!!...
