SU20 Sushi/Dessert — Restaurant in Whitpain Township

After a couple visits to SU 20, I'm a big fan! Amazingly fresh sushi. An excellent selection of chef rolls. Pretty desserts. Great service.

On our first visit, we got the sashimi deluxe, tuna carpaccio, and a fiesta roll. As mentioned, the sushi was very fresh. This selection was enough for the two of us without any sacrifices. The sashimi deluxe included the standard selection of fish (tuna, salmon, yellow tail, red snapper). The tuna carpaccio was peppered and wrapped with a sauce that made it very tasty. The fiesta roll was fun!

Our next visit, we just opted to get the sushi and sashimi for two. Again, plenty of food for two people. As with the deluxe sashimi, it had the standard selection of fish. It also came with two rolls - one standard and one chef. We've yet to try the many desserts, but one day we won't be so "good" and will break down and try one of those amazing looking cakes.

The restaurant is kept extremely clean. It a smaller location then you might figure, but they make the most out of the seating arrangement. The staff is on top of everything! Come in...

Based on their Philly Mag review we ventured to Blue Bell to try out SU20 and were truly blown away by the quality, variety, and beautiful presentation of the rolls (we had two eel roles, Golden Dragon, and Dancing Eel) and the beautiful sashimi platter served with freshly grated radish and real shiso leaves, no plastic here! Even the miso soup was extra rich and delicious. Substantial serving sizes make this an economical choice for sushi, and their BYOB approach helps even more. Large servings of green tea ice cream, are my person favorite but their cream-based crepe cakes (we had blueberry) were melt-in-your-mouth decadent. This is quickly becoming my favorite place for fresh & delicious sushi. We sat at the sushi bar during a busy lunch and watched the sushi chef put together one amazing creation after another . . Pictured is the Leprachaun Roll (fresh tuna, white tuna Cucumber salmon & avocado) , the Super Star Roll (rock lobster tail tempura & spicy king crab on top) and the ridiculously amazing Fish Cake (spicy tuna, salmon, avocado & a smidgeon of eel sauce) Everything that we had tasted so fresh, not mushy and even the cucumber sticks inside still had crunch.
