This was honestly the worst breakfast spot, maybe even restaurant I’ve ever been to. My friends and I went to this restaurant to try something new around us and it was not a pleasant experience at all. I wasn’t going to write a review about it as my other friend wrote a review already but we all went home and got sick from the food we were served here.
The glasses that were on the table were nasty they looked like they were reused from other guests and never washed. Silver wear was dirty and just handed to us, not in a napkins just handed to us. The pancakes were either burnt or raw or both at the same time. There was a fly in my friend’s drink. The ketchup had some nasty black stuff around the rim. The bacon was so over cooked it would crumble into pieces and could just be snapped in half. The water jugs had stuff floating around in it. We were given hot water that smelled like coffee was light brown as if we were given a coffee pot that was never washed and hot water was just added on top. The eggs were like rubber and just over cooked and nasty. And not to mention when we got our food it was cold, the butter on our pancakes and waffles wouldn’t even melt that’s how cold the food was. The only semi good things that we got were the potatoes and the waffle.
After receiving food we asked to speak with a manager and she seemed to be more worried about showing the cooks our meal rather than talking to us. She just took our plates said she would be back and never came back. Instead she sent another waitress and our original waitress over. Our waitress and the other waitress were very nice and understanding about the situation and apologized to just multiple times but that is nothing for them to be sorry about, the manager should. We ended up only having to pay for our drinks but it just feels as if the manager should’ve apologized and make her staff do it for her as it is not their problem it’s hers. The last problem we had was a staff member who decided to keep peeking over at our table giving us dirty looks after complaining about our experience. When it was time to leave and pay she kept walking through my friends and myself without saying excuse me. It was to the point where we had to say to her say excuse me don’t just push through us.
Overall this was not a good experience at all and I would never recommend this place to anyone especially after how all our stomachs...
Read morePay attention to the orange juice they give you. I come here quite often and always get their “fresh squeezed” orange juice as a drink. We came in mid afternoon on the weekend, very busy but our waitress was lovely. Unfortunately, the management is horrendous. The place is a little dirty. Spotty silverware, toilets in the bathroom needed to be cleaned etc. but the kicker was the orange juice. As I said, I’ve come here plenty of times before and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. This time, what came was a neon orange juice with no pulp what so ever. It was evident that it was not freshly squeezed like they normally have. I asked the server and told her this tasted and looked nothing like the normal fresh squeezed juice. She said it was not and that they ran out of the normal juice and had to run to the store in the shopping center to get back up (Aldi). That’s fine , I asked her if I would still be paying the same price for a large freshly squeezed juice considering it was not freshly squeezed. She was very understanding and said she would talk to the manager. I know, probably not a big deal. I’d understand charging me for a small but a large fresh squeezed juice that your menu says is 100% natural when you’re pouring Aldi brand juice that’s not even $4 for the whole bottle, you’re practically hoodwinking customers at that point. If you’re out of orange juice, then you’re out of orange juice. What shocked me even more was the managers response to the server for voicing the concern. Of course we can hear from where they’re at and she basically tried reprimanding the server for her honesty. I was appalled. Manager said to the server “you shouldn’t have even given them that idea”. lol WOW. So it’s the servers fault for being honest about you guys trying to scam customers? The managers attitude makes it seem like corporate knows they do this and thinks regular customers are really that stupid. I felt bad for the server that the manager practically scolded her for being honest. It was so tacky and unprofessional to the point where I probably won’t be back. Plenty of spectacular brunch spots in the area that treat their staff with respect and their customers integrity. What a terrible excuse...

If you have allergy concerns DO NOT eat here. If you are a vegan, be aware there is, at minimum, egg contamination on the grill.
I want to say our server was very nice and we like Turning Point. My wife and I frequent the TP in North Wales. My main issue today is with the kitchen. Our children have food allergies- eggs, dairy, nuts, sesame- this was the first time we took them with us (Blue Bell). After speaking with our server, (I also called in advance to confirm dietary restrictions) we were assured the vegan eggs and vegan pancakes are cooked on a special clean part of the grill with no contamination to dairy/eggs and the bacon cooked away from allergens as well. Long story short, BOTH OF MY CHILDREN had severe egg allergic reactions to the pancakes. Eggs are the only food allergy they have in common. My daughter ate more than my son and threw up all her food when we got home. My son had a stomach ache and tingling in his mouth/throat. He only had a few bites of pancake and a few bites of bacon.
We were not charged for our kids food- one of which didn’t eat more than 3 bites of pancake. I didn’t get to eat my meal. We were given a gift certificate for 2 complimentary entrees, which means we have to go back to benefit from the coupon, and we were still charged $50 for our food. I DID pay the bill and tip our server 20% as this was not her fault. I’m not happy with this exchange today and on top of the trauma to our kids, was a drag on Mother’s Day.
We take our kids allergies very seriously and understand the risk with eating out. We are very careful and thoroughly vet where we eat. The reassurance from staff that our food would be safe gave us a false feeling of security and in turn caused pain and discomfort for our children.
Again, be aware if you have food allergies or are vegan and are looking to avoid animal product contamination. Their food is not safe as it is advertised.
Turning point makes for a good brunch spot if you don’t have allergies or dietary limitations. I don’t want to hurt their business and give a bad review, but what we experienced today should be known to if anything, save someone else with food allergies from...
