Nekter Juice Bar — Restaurant in Whitpain Township

I was not impressed with the service...I stopped into this location on the late rainy afternoon before I had to be at work at 3pm I thought it would be a change from normal routine of the wawa salad smoothie deal the location was clean and bright so the store was inviting but the service not so much. There were 2 employees a young lady working register and a gentleman that mixed up my smoothie... I was not greeted when I came into the store not sure if customer service training was provided... but when it's only two people n a store and a customer comes in you should be properly greeted this was my first time ever having Nekter Juice Bar products and I was excited I asked the young lady what was a popular item on the menu and her response was huh I asked again and she said I don't know and look up at the menu and gave me the first item on the Smoothie list the gentleman and the back kinda stared and was unresponsive so I went with the item that was first on the list I believe it was a banana smoothie but with such a vast menu I wish the employees had more input I was then asked which size I wanted I got a 32 oz Size smoothie which was roughly about 12 bucks and I didn't mind that because anyting healthy and organic is going to be a little more pricey however I was not aware that if I purchased a 16oz reusable Nekter Juice Bar cup with straw 16 ounce I would get a reusable container and a free smoothie at 9 95 I did not discover this until I started to look around the store... so when I mentioned earlier that I was disappointed it was because I was not told about that item which obviously is a special and it would have been much nicer to have that complimentary container and a smoothie to commemorate my first trip to the Nekter Juice Bar I did let them know that this was my first time and that was the reason I ask for a recommendation. but as my smoothie was being prepared I started to look around the well-lit very clean nice inviting store they offer all types of juicers and Juice programs that are actually ready to go in there refrigerated section which for me would have been a plus i had lost 25 lb over the last 8 weeks meal prepping and making better chioces so in my mind I was hype looking at all the wonderful variations of items I could pick from browsing on my own I started to feel deflated I was not sure that the two employees have really provided me the best service. They didn't interact with me or give even a smile at all during the longest I would say 8 to 10 awkward minutes I've had in a long time I wasn't sure if it was because I was a person of color but I felt out of place I'm only mentioning this because I'm friendly outgoing person and 99% of the time I interact with people I'm able to invoke a smile and or laff from my jokes but nothing from these 2. I was going to contact the owner of the store location and let them know I was disappointed with my customer interaction because after cruising the store on my own I found some cool stuff I wish I had known about prior to my purchase I know working with the public in a retail environment is not an easy job because I have during my time as a hospitality professional I would provide customers especially new customers with any specials and or provide detailed input about our products and or services. Anywho there there was a advertisement in regards to employment for that location so I took a picture and it seemed like the two employees where then concerned looking back and forth at each other I asked the young lady with her arms folded in front of her why she did not mention the special with the container because I would have rather had that and free 16 ounce smoothie and she looked at me in a dazed or confused state it was a awkward not so nice feeling... I wanted a 7 day juice plan information but knew asking these 2 anything was not going to give me what information I wanted. NEWEST UPDATE:! Nekter must have new employees, DISREGARD my last update. They have NEVER messed up my order, I gave them another chance, bc my other go-to made me sick (you can figure it out from the only other place I gave a good review to :/), and NEKTER IS BACK IN MY GOOD BOOKS. They always get it right. Protein Power is my go-to bowl again, but I've now tried their smoothies and they're A+ also! You can also create your own bowl, which is how I discovered the coconut whip is fire. Sorry for so many different reviews, they've had ups and downs bc I've been coming here for years.. But currently their service and food RULES. Update: I am very sad to have to change my review. I never do this. But the last 3 times I have ordered from here, my order has been wrong. I submitted a support ticket through the app, and never got a response. It wouldn't bother me that much except it's a not-insignificant amount of money now that I've spent for add-ins that I never received. I had to have my mom pick up my order, because I don't live that close, so I told her what to look for, and she wanted to be sure about the salted peanut butter, so she asked an employee, who told her they'd put it on.. And somehow the employee must have thought she meant the peanut-butter-ish-flavored chia pudding, or something? Because my pudding had zero salted peanut butter added, yet again, for the third time, yesterday. Despite the $1.50 I paid for it. Maybe it was a new employee, who didn't know what "add salted peanut butter" means. But that, statistically, probably can't be true for the other 2 times. And one of those times, I'd also ordered an entirely different product too, which was missing multiple standard toppings that should have been on it. So, though their chia pudding is awesome, I can't keep paying for things I don't receive, especially when they don't answer customer service ticket messages. I found a different smoothie bowl place I'll be going to, and though they don't offer the same stuff, at least they get my order right. I'll miss you, Nekter, but fool me thrice, shame on me.

Old review: I LOVE Nekter. I am addicted to their pb & J chia bowl. I've searched countless recipes trying to recreate it.. Can't do it. They have some sort of peanut butter that's, like, liquidy. Even when I melt my own, soon as it mixes with the chia pudding, it turns gross and chunky. Their strawberry chia jam IS AMAZING, I wish I could get a whole jar of it! Omggggg. Also, their protein power bowl.. chef's kiss. I love how you can customize it, bc I get pb inside, no blueberries on top, strawberry chia jam on top.. It's great. Of course, a few times (always a certain day of the week, which leads me to believe certain employees just know how to make my annoying bowl better, haha), it's been not right. But that's not often. Usually it's perfect. And my chia bowl is always A+. I love their rewards system! I get points for every order, and eventually can get a free bowl (well, except for all my extras, haha, but it still works out to be much cheaper!). Their smoothies are great, too. So I have Googled "acai bowls near me", and I tried another place, when Nekter wasn't open, and dude. They didn't come close. A very poor substitute. Oh, I need to admit, I was prompted by email after a purchase to leave a review, and even though I think I did a review on my other account, I NEED TO TELL YOU AGAIN. NEKTER IS THE BEST. I used to work at the Starbucks in the same complex, is how I got addicted to this place, I think? The employees are really nice. The one girl always notices my food-themed earrings, which I appreciate! Look, I love fruit. And I love smoothies, chia seeds, anything sort of pudding-y/smooth, even their Skoop, which is like ice cream but made w coconut milk I believe. I've tried most categories of product here. (Not really into juice, gotta say, but if you are I'm sure you'd love theirs.)

I'm sure the workers are sick of me. But I can't get enough. Like, I spend an ungodly amount of money here, the way other people do on extravagant coffee drinks, I do on Nekter bowls. I do this instead of having lunch, I get a bigass Nekter bowl for breakfast and it keeps me full til dinner. It's a good thing I'm working more, bc anytime I'm off work, this is where I come! I am addicted, I must admit. But dude. Their stuff is just so good!!! I have tried many, many chia puddings. At different restaurants, even in different states of the US.. None come close to the chia pudding here. Perfect ratio of chia seeds to pudding, perfect texture. I would die to get the recipe.. Or if they sold a big carton to take home?! Omg, think about it, Nekter.. Sell it by the half-gallon or something, I'd buy! And the strawberry chia seed jam?!! I would eat that by the gallon! SOOOOOOO delicious! I just seriously am obsessed with Nekter. Idk, like, yes, this place is not cheap. But go to Wawa and get a smoothie, ok? Then, next day, come get a smoothie from Nekter, and tell me you don't taste the difference, in quality of ingredients, in how much more nutritious and filling and...good, the Nekter smoothie is! It's a high-class smoothie, is what it is, y'know? You get what you pay for, like. And, they make it super easy to order ahead with their app! You can customize your bowl, add or remove ingredients, and say exactly when you wanna pick it up, and save your payment method.
