Carl’s Jr. — Restaurant in Wichita Falls

I was in town for Hotter'n Hell this past week. We don't have Carl's Jr where I live, and it is my favorite fast food restaraunt. I just finished my 100mi ride, and I was hot and tired and just needed something to eat before falling asleep. I pulled up to the drive through and was immediately asked if I was a member of some rewards program. I said no, and waited. There was no effort to ask what my order was. So I just started talking. Number one, no pickle or onion, with zucchini instead of fries and a coke with no ice. I was asked the size, and I requested a medium. Everything was repeated back to me. When I pulled up to the window, a very quiet guy in a black shirt handed me a small drink and took my card. When he came back, I told him I had ordered a medium. He got pretty flustered and said, "Well, the guy only rang you up for a small." I didn't want to fight it since I was exhausted and smiled, telling him no big deal. There was NO effort to correct this like there would have been in most restaraunts, fast food or otherwise. When I got my food, I checked the bag and I had fries rather than zucchini. I knocked on the window and was ignored. I sat there for a few moments, then pulled around and walked into the restaraunt. The SAME guy who has previously handed me my food and drink and charged my card made eye contact with me and quickly looked down. HE was the one taking the orders from the drive through, even though he had told me someone else was responsible. He literally ignored me for at least 5 min while another customer and I stood at the counter. I wasn't acknowledged again until I threw my bag on the counter and sighed. At this point, he whispered to the fry cook to come help me. The FRY COOK was great. He smiled, I explained that I had received fries and he quickly corrected the order without question. The black shirted guy at the drive through asked what I was complaining about, which I found really rude. So the 2 stars is for the nice cook, rather than the rude employee. Oh, and by the time I got back to where I was staying for the night, I found I had been in fact charged extra for a medium, and this was the ONLY thing correct on the ticket after I had placed my order. I surprised I didn't end up with a chicken sandwich or something else random. So, in summary, check your bag and receipt...

I've gone to this Carl's for years. Why? Because I have always received outstanding customer service, my food is always made fresh. The restaurant is always clean. Their burgers always juicy and delicious. Missing that awesome Diablo burger, but you can get an order of poppers and make your own. Try their chicken tenders. The tenders from carl jr, by far, outdo tenders from local golden chicken. The meat, is actual breast meat. They are hand made when you order them, not fried up and kept under a heat lamp, to become chicken toughs. The breakfast food is also fresh, delicious and so reasonably priced! The best thick, juicy burgers on fresh soft delicious buns.Their coupons also make eating from there, so affordable. I promise you..for fast food restaurants, THIS -Carl jr, is the absolute BEST, in food quality & freshness, with knowledgeable, friendly & caring employees. Anyone that has took the time to make a bad review, was just obviously having a bad day. I personally do not know anyone that works there, but everytime I go, I feel like they treat me...

Overall I have zero issues at all. I think sometimes the occasional person could be nicer, or it can be weird to have trash cans closed off to customers just because you dont have much business atm, but those are minor things that I dont care about that much. Im worried about food. And as for that, the food here's yummy, fresh and makes me crave it. I go out of my way to eat here. So I will highly suggest, and I appreciate the cleanliness of the place.
