Growing up in Wichita Falls I was fortunate enough to go to the library a lot. I was one of those kids who could not read enough. I always entered the reading contest that they had in the summer and usually was either in first place or second place for my age group. The library seemed so beautiful to me as a child, and now, as an adult, I have an even greater appreciation for this historic piece of Wichita Falls. It may not be the library anymore but it is a very fitting home for an Arts Center in this town. I recommend people go to the library and the Kemp Center for the Arts on a weekend because both facilities do free classes for kids! Studio Saturday is saturday mornings and is taught by a very sweet and fun artist. The entire staff is wonderful, kind and funny! There are many gallery openings where you can visit for free and enjoy snacks and wine while experiencing beautiful art from local artists!
